This park a huge wide open space with one of the best views of Mission Bay. There is a lot of space to be able to lay down a blanket and relax. There is a section with a kids jungle gym. There are lots of trees and greenery. The view is a wonderful panoramic landscape. It is on a hill. It is dog friendly. Parking is a little limited.

Great views up here and it seems like a popular spot for a picnic which I also did here as well. Family friendly with parking, we went on a nice sunny day and there were over 20 groups of people here. I would definitely come back again. Also the park seemed clean and well taken care of.

Kate Sessions Memorial Park is a large dog park in the north Pacific Beach area. This park is usually busy, and most people who come here either bring their dogs, exercise, have a picnic, or a combination of these things. The park is open from dawn to after dark, but crowds usually peak towards sunset. The view at the top includes an overlook of Mission Bay, Downtown San Diego, the Coronado Bridge, Point Loma, and even Tijuana on clear sunny days.

Living here for 45 years I can't believe I never made the time to enjoy the tranquility and gorgeous views this park delivers. I kinda hate to share this because it's a probably going to get a lot of views However as any people coming in and falling in love with SD are also getting priced out. It's hard being a native sometimes......

It's illegal to drink in public so If a cop sees you then you will get an open container ticket.
Yes there are bins to place the hot coals around the park.
No lost and found :( you could check the pacific beach neighborhood Facebook page and see if anyone found them through there
San Diego Municipal Code 56.54(b) prohibits any person from consuming any alcoholic beverage at any time upon any public property such streets, parking lots, sidewalks, alleys, plazas, piers, and beaches. Some San Diego parks allow the possession and consumption of alcohol in designated areas during designated times, while other parks do not. Information on alcoholic beverage rule and bans at City of San Diego Parks and Beaches may be found in the San Diego Municipal Code Section 56.54.
Also, I think if you're having an event of more then 10 people then you are supposed to get a permit. Not sure if it's strictly enforced but if someone reports you then you might run into some issues.
Yep! For ages 5-12 I believe :)

Yes
I want to have a small wedding ceremony at this park on a Sunday in about a month. Will the park be too crowded to have a small ceremony? How early do I need to show up in order to reserve a good? Sorry this will be my first wedding and I don't know how to do:-)
Check the web sight!👍
What everyone else said 😁. Also, I would think the D.J. would be fine as long as you adhere to the noise regulations and the D.J. has their own power source. But, definitely check with parks and rec and maybe call the police non-emergency number.
Not officially although most are...
There are a few grills near the bottom of the hill that are built in but you lose the view. To enjoy the view you might be better off bringing your own and seating and or a table.
Officially it is a "on leash park" That's what all the signs say but it is very dog friendly and lots of dogs are running around off leash.
Yes, but I would call park & recreation and make sure you don't need some kind of permit. Also it insures you a spot at the park that day. Im pretty sure a permit is free and a guarantee that the fun won't be spoiled. My ex gf was an event planner at Ranch Catering for many years...
