Salem UMC recently combined with Connection UMC to increase their capacity for outreach. Salem's population is larger, older, and more affluent while Connection's is smaller, broader, and less affluent. Connection has a strong and well-known history of service to its neighbors and joined with the social justice mindset and funding of Salem now is empowered to do even more alingside their brothers and sisters at Salem. A "widow ministry" is not always a clearly defined service in many congregations, even if they do provide exactly what you are looking for. These are open-minded and willing people inclined to meet or create the means to meet your needs. Call them directly to inquire. This is not my home church, but I am glad to call some members my friends.
