Beautiful place, there are some steep areas, tight spots and you’ll have to climb over some rocks. Great place for kids to explore Dogs are not allowed due to the sensitive nature of the nature. Parking lot it dirt, good amount of spots and there is a restroom

It was a great hike, be aware that temperatures can rise to dangerous levels, bring plenty of water and hiking shoes, definitely not for everyone.

Love this hike! Can access with low clearance 2 wheel drive car. Recommend hiking clockwise to skip hiking up the big hill.

The regular cars can drive on this dirt road. The canyon is amazingly gorgeous! The slot canyon walls get so narrow and you have to squeeze your way through it and expect to get dirty. Be very careful there edges that can hurt you. This is such a cool hike!

As of Sunday 1/30/21, yes. $10 fee.
You can go two directions from the parking area. Go south (left from parking) and it is less than a mile to see the best parts. (Then turn around and go back if that is all you want to see.) You can continue to follow the trail south as it widens out, all the way back to hwy 78 if you want to. That is about two miles one way, pretty easy going in good weather. Going west (which turns north and then west again) I have only hiked some of it, maybe a mile or so. From the map it looks like at least 10 miles before you end up anywhere... In fact back into the Borrego Springs area. I may hike it soon, looks neat. But I would not go too far that way without careful planning and GPS coordinates. But it is pretty also, just don't expect it to be safe unless you turn around after a few miles. It heads out into the badlands, a dangerous place to get lost.
It's pretty flat, out and back. However, it gets narrow as you go.
No. There is a sign advising to not bring dogs. It is a tight squeeze in some places.
