Nice quiet canyon for cycling, running or hiking. Never too busy. Trail to California's 1st commercial oil well is smooth asphalt. Regularly see wildlife.

Thank you. It is County of L.A., and after speaking to several individuals, transfer upon transfer, my last transfer was a message I left, not returned!
If you're starting from the parking lot, the average length of the paved fire road is approximately 3.5 miles roundtrip. If you're doing the complete loop up to the summit and back, you're looking at approximately 7.9 miles.
