Had a great time. Highly encourage buying tickets ahead of time. This was an impromptu visit and we had to wait and 1.5 hrs to come back for our time slot. The aquarium is nestled in a downtime shopping center and were able to go eat lunch and walk around window shopping until our “report time”. The aquarium had lots of interactive areas where little ones could “touch”. I love that the layout, you can’t miss any area. You just keep walking and you’ll see everything.

This aquarium is really cool. We took 6 kids with us ranging from 2-17. They all had fun. We did do the penguin encounter, the 2 younger ones couldn't go (must be 6 for it), they would have been fine, but we understand. The penguin encounter was expensive for what it was. It was really cool, but I wouldn't pay for it again. You go with 9 other people and sit in their room and they walk around why you sit on the bench and listen to the employees educate and let you ask questions. I would have liked more time to actually pet the penguins. You get 1 time to pet it, for maybe 10 seconds. The kids loved the touch tanks. Parking was easy. We spent about 3 hours here.

This place is sweet. Tons of things to see here. The have fish from all over the world with great descriptive plaques. Lots of neat things they have done with the displays. They have aquariums with little indentations that you can stick your head into. They have glass floors so you can see underneath. They have tunnels where you can see the fish all around you. Pretty great spot to go for a day trip. A little crowded and I wish they would require people to wear masks. You don't have to wear one if you've been vaccinated but nobody is checking so come prepared with a good mask of you're concerned about COVID. Sweet place though. I highly recommend a visit.

We came from Indiana to check out Newport aquarium and we loved it! The white alligator was awesome! We also loved all the turtles and it was really clean! There were soooooo many people WITHOUT a mask on. I thought for sure it said online or on a sign that you needed to wear a mask. Either way we were wearing them to protect ourselves and good thing we did! We saw 1 other family with masks on. The employees all had masks but not customers. We really did enjoy our time though! It was worth the money we paid and there were tons of awesome animals there!

If you print your tickets yourself you don't have to wait in line or go to will call. You just go into the entrance and hand them the tickets and go right in. I would advise to print them beforehand. The will call line doesn't ever really look too long (I hang in Newport often), but you never know. I'd just print myself.
There's a penguin experience that you can do that allows you to interact and touch the penguins. They also have touch pools that hold star fish and coral and less lively sea creatures. I also believe they've added a touch pool for sting rays.
There are plenty of small kids there during the week during the day is best and least crowded
Temperature is comfortable, not cold. Please keep in mind it is expensive. Two adults and a 5 year old was $72.
Will the aquarium be open Labor Day September 3rd 2018?
