This is a beautiful community, HOWEVER, there are a tremendous amount of children running around, seemingly unparented. If you are coming to this community for the amenities be prepared to deal kids who leave their toys everywhere and pretty much run the pool with no oversight. This has definitely been a disappointing move for us. Please don't read this wrong...we love kids and have no problem with kids enjoying the property....but, when no adults are present and watching kids, the problems arise. It doesn't seem like there is much enforcement of the Montierra's rules. If we could do it all over again, we would not choose the Montierra.

It's just too noisy I can't fall asleep because of the traffic noise on I-15 in late night and wake up by it in the early morning. What surprised me was the amplification of noise coming from the valley on the north side of the property, believe me you will hear 40-60db noise out door some days that wind is blowing this way. And the window is not double layered. So the morning truck 🚛 that comes from Tijuana deep sounds will wake you up. Not recommended for people have sensitive hearing and light sleepers. I got Psychasthenia after staying and debilitated my work performance for sure. Otherwise it's an over all okay place to stay, I move from other states, I don't know the garbage piling up is an San Diego tradition or just specific for this community. Besides these two points, I have no complains.

5 stars for the great 1st year we lived here and prompt maintenance crew. -4 stars for the nuisance neighbor that moved in, landlords inability to do anything legally and mental and physical strain on us, and no recourse for us despite paying rent and following community rules. Worst 6 months in the past 10 years in San Diego as a tenant.

The grounds keepers are always out working and keeping grass and bushes trimmed. Not a lot of trash seen around so they do great with that too. Love this place. The leasing office staff is the main reason why I’m staying here for another year. They are extremely kind, caring and always find a way to help. Best leasing staff I've had experienced. They all deserve huge thanks! I tell everyone I meet, this is the best apartment complex I’ve lived in. The staff is incredible. They are all kind, responsive, helpful and always there when I need them. This includes the maintenance crew and the office staff.
