Nice weeklong stay. Not a resort style campground for sure, but very quiet and close to the beach. As friendly as we have ever seen. The upper loop is heavily tree covered. This makes it nice and shaded, but bigger rigs may have issues. If what you are looking for is a simple and peaceful basecamp, this is it. Be aware, cash only...

If I didn't have to rate this place I wouldn't. I had my son my fiance and our two dogs and we were tenting. The sites are on top of each other and there is no water or electric hook ups on the tent site. We were told that there was electric and water hook ups on the sites. The bathrooms are a bit of a hike if you have to go. The showers are free but we didn't use them. There is a laundry room but we didn't use that either. I would not suggest this place to anyone. Even if someone has a camper this place is not the place to go. Yes Diane and Jennifer are very nice people but the park was not great at all. The only good/cool thing about this place is that you can here the lion roar in the morning.

Diane and Jennifer were absolutely wonderful and hospitable! They gave excellent suggestions and were very accommodating (especially since we came in pretty late). The site and facilities were very clean. We would definitely recommend this campground!

Road tripping with my Dad and Aunt from Michigan. We camped one night. The bathrooms were a welcome spotlessly cleaned oasis. Diane was friendly and helpful with suggestions for local scenes. We would definitely recommend and stay again. Thank you for your hospitality and high standards!
