Requested 250 gallons, they filled almost double. They acknowledged the issue and said they would pump it out and refund the $850+ difference. They pumped out the propane, but billed me the full price. I've called 20+ times for a refund for over 3 months now and I keep getting the runaround. They either say it's still in progress, it's been escalated, they sent it to the wrong department, etc. Many promises but still no resolution.

Excellent service overall. Deliveries are scheduled automatically, so no worries that we may run too low on propane. Our driver does a very nice job for us, and for AmeriGas.

We will be leaving Amerigas this coming spring/summer. The primary reason: we cannot talk to anyone at our local supply depot even when they are letting us run out of fuel. We are an automatic delivery customer, on a budget plan which is paid on time, with a driveway and walkway kept clear of snow and ice and yet they fail to deliver in a timely fashion. Propane heats our home and cooks our food. It is critical for us, yet in years past they have let us run out of fuel on at least 2 occasions. Now we are experiencing sub zero weather and it appears likely we will run out as our tank is at approximately 4%. We have called them numerous times since seeing the tank dipping below 30%. Their call center promises delivery but no delivery comes. Next time we will choose a local company. One that answers their own phones (rather than contracting an overseas call center), has an office we can visit in person and that doesn't just claim to care but actually does. And don't bother telling me to contact your customer care team at your AmerigasGMB address, I already have.

I am a first time Amerigas customer. My account is setup for automatic delivery and payment. No one came to fill the tank and I am out of propane. I spoke with a rep yesterday afternoon. She was polite and stated that there was an error on their end. She expedited a refill but couldn't tell me when the delivery would come. Maybe tonight, maybe tomorrow. I called again later that evening. This rep told me there were still issues with my account on their end and that the order placed earlier in the day wouldn't have ever been fulfilled. He made some corrections but still couldn't tell me when I was going to get my tank filled. So we spent a New Hampshire winter night with no heat. Needless to say it's freezing in the house. I called again in the morning for an update. The person who answered my call sounded groggy and spoke broken English. I was very polite and patient thinking this guy is just hung over or over worked. I explained what had happened and that I was looking for an update. He asked me all of the questions to verify my account and once he got to the screen where he could see my delivery status the call was disconnected. I assume he hung up in stead of telling me information that I didn't want to hear. I called back and spoke to another rep. I explained the whole situation again, hoping to hear that my propane was on it's way. Nope, my delivery is scheduled for tomorrow. When a company makes a mistake that causes an inconvenience (days without heat or hot water) for their customer, it is up to the company to correct the mistake, even if that means being greatly inconvenienced themselves. This is customer service 101. Companies who do not own their mistakes in this way do not care about their customers.

Energy North will blame their computer system again. Unfortunately, they are just a bad company to deal with.
