I really enjoyed my visit to the Turtle Bay Exploration Park. All three of the main areas (Garden, Museum and Forest Camp) were interesting. Some of the highlights were the Sundial Bridge, King Tut exhibit and the Animal Show.

Went on a school field trip with kindergarten & 1st graders. Had a great day. Updated playground was a hit, as well as feeding the birds. Enjoyed animal show as well.

Amazing park and museum to spend few hours. Museum is quite small and can be done within an hour. The park is huge and takes couple of hours. The playgrounds are good for kids with zip lining and all. Lorekeets /parrots feeding is a blast and definitely do that

An excellent spot for families, ideally children. The inside of the museum is focused on local history, such as the Wintu, Redding in the 20's, local biodiversity, etc. There's a dedicated hands-on section in the back that's good for young kids. The backside of the museum is the actual park and quite expansive. There's a sizeable playground for families and an area to interact with exotic and local birds. Further down is a trail that extends for a mile or so and you can check out small caged areas for hawks or the bobcat. Definitely an easy way to spend 90 minutes to get an idea of the area. It's also common to find stray cats nearby as the locals pointed out that there's a gentleman who tends to them.

Yes I've taken my dogs there and walked them across the sundial bridge, in the botanical garden and through the bike trail all the way to Caldwell park
Free parking and walking the bridge. The museum has limited hours, Turtle Bay and the nursery. It is a day wellspent. They also have a coffee shop/sandwiches and souvenir shop...all with reasonable prices. Shasta library has passes, last I heard, save some $$
Yea there is a fee, adult cost is $18 kids $14 as well as seniors however, 3yrs of age or younger are free. It is well worth it in my opinion, hope this helps.
You could get the tickets at the Museum.
No.
I believe $18 per ticket. We were under the impression it was all real artifacts, but found out they are all replicas. If you notice the sign when you first walk in down by the large figures in the center of the room. It should be displayed more prominently. Although, we would have enjoyed the exhibit a lot more if we didn't find out they were replicas. They are very well done of course. Just was a pretty big disappointment, but I guess we should have expected it.
I would say the dirt parking lot next to the bathroom up as you are in the parking area as there is more room for the bus to be
No you don't have to cross is by the Gifford Pavillion.
It’s an app called BIRD, it will locate the scooters and tell you how much battery life they have that is near you.
$18 adults $14 children
Yes.
Daily admission is $16 for adults, $12 for seniors and kids age 4-15, and free for kids 3 and under. The facility is closed on Monday and Tuesday, but the cafe and museum store are open seven days a week.
I believe it is done for the summer.
