Really lovely area to hike. You can pick from a variety of shorter and longer trails. The park is dog friendly. The only possible cautions are some areas are steep and it can get muddy if it rained recently.

Very nice hike. Did 1.8 miles, a little muddy in late February but doable in trail runners. Lots of moss and vines! Not a lot of elevation

Great place to get in a good early morning hike. Elevation gain is like 600 feet in less than a mile from Terwilliger to Fairmont, so if you are craving a steep path, this will do. Only reason not a 5 star is all the invasive ground cover choking the native species.

Amazing trails in the heart of Portland. Would love to go here more often. I did get stung four times by a mud wasp? maybe. Not sure it was too fast to see. Just watch where your stepping and wear pants if you can. I only got to see a fraction of the trails unfortunately but I will be back to check it out further.
