I really like all of the interconnecting trails. You can make your hike as long or short as you like. I've never encountered a lot of people on the trail. It seems to be less busy between the hours of 8 am and noon. I usually do about 6 miles, the largest number of people I've encountered on any one hike has been 5 or 6. It feels like you're out of the city, so very nice and tranquil.

This is an incredible resource for the city of Portland. I had been chasing a lazuli bunting all over northwest USA trying to spot him with no luck. Within a minute of arriving at Powell Butte I saw 3! Totally stoked! A great park for birdwatching. We were there at dusk and saw some male deer, and a bunch of other birds.

Green land, trails, people cycling, people walking dogs, people playing the guitar in a summer breeze! It's a nice place to go during a sunny day, easy walking, and not far from the downtown metro area!

Grew up going on walks here as a kid, and Mountain Biking with my family when we were old enough. Beautiful views of the cascades and surrounding foot hills when you get to the top! Check out the mountain locater at the top, and make sure you learn about the importance of the water storage here as well. Please pack it in and pack it out if you have a picnic up top!

Yes!
Yes, if weather is nice! Lots of places, on top or under trees.
It is very hilly,,very steep grades,,,but on the other hand, the trail itself is fairly flat, not very many roots,or snags,,,but for the most part,,,,,,yes it is very hilly,,!!thank you for your questions,,feel free to ask me,,,im always pleased to share my veiw,or opinion of my endeavors,,,,,!! Bless all!!
There's also a entrance straight down 148th along with more trails. To get to the 162nd entrance trails, it's a pretty long hike but, extremely peaceful and not many people on the 148th trails.
The water is from that reservoir so the proverb is likely being playful.
Yes sir, does indeed have bike racks, main entrance up 162nd. Just like Robin stated, up by the visitor center
For the same reason people can't and don't follow street signs when they j walk across the street.... they don't care about anyone but themselves
