Mt. Tabor is a "must-see" for tourists and locals alike. It really is a quintessential Portland place. Endless trails, huge trees, plenty of spots to picnic, tennis courts, playgrounds, picnic tables, etc. Views of downtown on the west side and Mt. Hood on the east side. It is also REALLY clean. No homeless camps, no trash. It's just a lovely place.

Beautiful place to go. A lot of birds and having a view to look at downtown of Portland. Able to run, walk up stairs with very nice atmosphere and supper clean. I can't see any litter or garbage. Strongly recommend to visit, family time combination of running around.

Beautiful little park. Went on our first day in Portland to walk our friends dogs. The trails are clear and accessible. The view is good. The foliage was lovely. The dog park is huge! Best to bring well trained dogs only because it’s a big hill that is probably easy to escape and is a big space. I thought the whole park was lovely.

This is a beautiful park. The trails are in the easy to moderate range. Great for families as there as scenic points and a couple benches along the way. If you're not up for a trail you can walk around the park and water towers, one loop is about a mile. There were two portable bathrooms along the way but I personally wouldn't use them, they looked pretty icky. There's a small park and picnic area underneath the trees towards the top of hill. You can walk or drive to get there. Then there's a trail that veers off the main trails that cars can't access, which is a good alternative if you have pets or small children. The dog park gets quite busy as well so you'll see plenty of fur babies struttin along. It's a very family and pet friendly park and I'll definitely be coming back

Yep... it was back in April 2019 Every year now since back in 1997. Is become Portland's beloved summer time tradition.
Upper parking lot.
No. However the gates close at 10pm, so don't leave your vehicle up there or youll be stuck!
Yes, there is a playground across the street from the park headquarters and restrooms.
It's a great hike uphill from the top of salmon at 60th to the summit. You can take the roads for a gentle challenge or the dirt trail and steps for an aerobic workout.
There are events. I am not sure where there is a compiled listing. On weekends there is a visitor center that is open. There is a place for concerts etc in the crater. Most events are by reservation not put on by the park district. Every Wednesday the roadways close to cars and it is bikes and pedestrians only.
Yes, a few weeks ago I used it.
