I gave it a 3 star because ..the food is good & prices reasonable...otherwise 2 Star....the place is too small..only allow 3 people inside at a time due to COVID-19 (understandable) but still is very small even without Covid .Customers are standing outside (depending on weather conditions it's NOT worth it)..Also you never know what you're going to get until you get there altho they have a Menu...If Walter doesn't feel like cooking anymore...it doesn't happen...He has literally said so .."I'm not cooking anymore..".. Doesn't give enough food portions....I have yet to Find a Soul Food place since I arrived in GA (Feb 2022) that has good food, professional & good portion..and Definitely..Not "This Is It" (competitor -another Joke)... You better have your mind right & patience for Walters

So happy to find this hidden gem! A true Soul Food place. When you see older people who run the business and do all the cooking then that food is about to be smackaliocus! I got the rib plate with cabbages/mac n cheese and cornbread. A lemonade and banana pudding. The price is so affordable! I’m coming back as much as I possibly can! It will be an every week place to eat.

I love this amazing soul food. I have ate at Walters over 25 years when they first were on Cleveland Ave then moved to Flat Shoals. I drive a hour to eat here. It doesn’t compare to other soul food places. The veggies are well seasoned and so are the meats. Everything is finger licking goood! I recommend the juicy tender Oxtails with their delicious collard greens and homemade mac n cheese. If you are missing your momma’s homemade food this is right place for you!

This was my 1st time in this restaurant and I loved it.. I've found me a new kitchen to eat from‼️‼️ I had the catfish dinner thst was cooked to order so it was hot and delicious. I had cabbage, cornbread, mac n cheese and candied yams on my plate. It was only 15$ and I couldn't believe the price...I would have paid 20$+ for that meal. I will ne back.
