Lots of variety in a relatively compact amount of land. You could easily spend a few hours here just appreciating the hikes and plants. We especially enjoyed the Asia area since it was shaded and had the most variety per square meter. There's lots of unique flora and the special exhibits change year round. Bring your walking shoes and prepare for hills.

Amazing place to visit if you’re looking to learn more about plants from around the world. Loved the separation of all the plants and clearly labeled. The stroll will definitely be fun if you’re planning on spending all day here so bring your hiking shoes!

Great day to spend the day out and learning about nature. The volunteers and staff are so knowledgeable about the gardens! It was such a great experience running into them and learning great stories of how plants are acquired and brought into the gardens.

We didn’t book online before we came and had no problem getting in. Beautiful gardens, well maintained and very well curated. Loved that the majority of plants were labelled. Great views across the bay and beyond. Highly recommend here if your into cacti, ferns and succulents! Its also a lovely place for a walk and a great place to relax and enjoy nature. Nice little shop too.

There is a lot of up and down hills. They probably could do parts but I imagine they would get tired.
Yes.
It is not far. The walk back will be strenuous.
Yes, across the street. $1/hour, pay at the ticket stand, remember the parking stall number.
No. I would recommend the SF botanical garden over this one for someone who has mobility issues. A lot of the grounds are more like a hike than a flat walk.
Yes. It is along the hillside and mostly in the sun.
It would be best to call ahead and ask someone at UCBG.
It's a very small and adorable amount and 100% worth the money either way 👍
I don't believe so. Maybe if the dog is a service animal.
Yes. It's beautiful.
No, it's free the FIRST Wednesday of the month.
No.
Most of the paths are paved.
Gophers, not moles.
As long as you do not place it in the flower beds. I use a monopod.
That's the beauty of the gardens, variety, discovery, the Newts in the pond. If you have the time during the week it is nice to explore the treasures of the Gardens.
