Ok, this place was serene. It was well manicured and shaded and the breeze at that time of day made the park a nice refuge from the heat. They wouldn't let me peek inside to see if the $2 per person entry fee was worth it, but I paid it anyway and it was ok. The water feature was offline for maintenance though, so that was a bummer. Still, I think the fee to get in is kind of a good idea because it helps keep the vandals and crowds at bay. Nice little park. I'm not sure I would choose to go back though, my kids were kind of bored.

This is a super cute, old fashioned play yard. It is completely closed in, and very large. Lota of trees and plants and walk ways, perfect for tag and hide and seek. It is an older play ground, but well kept and clean.

Walking around the Atlantis Play Center in Garden Grove, you can't help but notice how much care goes into the well-maintained and beautiful landscaping. Admiring and photographing the landscape alone is enough of a reason to come here and pay the $2, cash-only admission fee. They really do take care of the greenery here, and it is worth going just for a nice stroll through it. However, the greenery is just about all that is maintained, and that will become more apparent to you as you walk through the area and observe the playground equipment. The playground equipment was an absolute bummer, and I wish they spent more time and money on maintaining it. All of the slides, monkey bars, swings, and play tunnels were dirty, horribly sun-faded, chipping away, and in many cases covered in bees and red ants. The splash pad, though very compact, is probably the biggest reason to bring your kids here. With all the playgrounds, excluding one, being so small and spread apart you'll be thankful for the splash pad with only one exit if you bring small children. I was thankful for there only being one exit in the park, at least from what I could observe, because it is rare I get to let my son roam near-independently without having to worry about him escaping without me noticing. Overall, there is so much more that could be done with this place, and that is why I give it two stars. From consolidating and properly maintaining the play equipment for a better play experience, to expanding upon the biggest attraction which is the splash pad, I see so much untapped potential going to waste.

Wow, this is such a hidden gem for parents! This is a decently sized, secluded and chill park on the north western side of Garden Grove Park. At $2 per person it's supercheap to get in. Inside there are around 10+ small playgrounds, a small splash zone, and lots of green for picnics. To be clear there is only one small splash zone, but my kids had plenty of fun there. All the playgrounds are accessible by strollers through concrete trails. You can bring in your own food, there are drinking fountains, reservable spaces for kids birthday parties, clean restrooms with infant changing tables in both gender restrooms and there is a tiny concession stand where you can get water, soda, ice cream, chips for $1. Such a great place to spend with the kids. Note that this is a cash only place and isn't open in the colder months. FF
