We went there on a Sunday for lunch. The sign out front (see picture) said “enjoy full menu and full bar on the water”. This is false advertising. We got a table and were not given menus. I thought that was odd, so I found some menus myself and we started looking for what we wanted to eat. The waiter came by and asked if he could take our menus from us. We said uhhh no we would like to order some lunch. He said no it’s buffet only and kitchen is closed to orders from the menu. I really wanted their club sandwich and asked if I could please have that. He said no and all we could eat was buffet which was breakfast food and Mexican food. Since we had no other choice, we reluctantly decided to try the buffet. None of it was very tasty and I wish we would have just left and gone somewhere else.

While in the area we were looking for restaurants to stop in for dinner. So happy we found The Point! Our food and drinks were delicious. The server was very attentive, when we told him we would be splitting the prime rib he brought out 2 plates with our meal nicely split. There was also a 60th birthday party going on. Just a great laid back atmosphere. We will definitely go back!

We originally intended to go for breakfast. Following their hours on their website, Google, and Yelp, they were supposed to open at 9 for breakfast. When we arrived at 10, they weren't open (even though the sign outside also said 9am). After giving them a call we were informed they would not be opening until 11. Thankfully, there's a beautiful lake so we took a nice walk while we waited for them to open. Once they opened we made our way back and were seated right away. Our server was slow to great us and even slower to bring drinks to the table. We ordered 2 appetizers because we couldn't decide what to get. Although we asked for appetizer plates when our appetizers arrived without them, the server never brought any. The pull and peel shrimp was over cooked and rubbery. The combo basket was delicious, would definitely order again. Our server didn't come back to take our meal orders until we had completely finished our appetizers. I ordered the Country Style Chicken fingers. My partner ordered the weekly special (which you have to pull up their Facebook page to read about). The chicken was perfectly cooked, but the breading had no flavor. The gravy it is served with made up for the lack of flavor. I asked our server for more gravy, and never got it. The special was a smoked burger with baked beans, delicious and perfectly cooked. Overall not a bad experience. If you're looking for quick and attentive service, I would look elsewhere, but if your okay with slower service and good food, it's a great option. Definitely recommend viewing their Facebook page prior to going, they seem to keep it up to date rather than updating their website

Steer clear of the Red Snapper Béarnaise. This caught our eye on the menu and the waitress confirmed it’s a recommended dish. This dish is the reason for the low rating. As the plates hit the table we could smell the off-putting fishy scent. The crab meat was processed rather than lump or claw meat and the shrimp was small and not fresh. The sauce tasted like it came out of the Campbell’s can. I’m not a food critic and I don’t enjoy writing low reviews but priced at $24.95 this dish needs to be called out and corrected. At a high-end price… the food tastes processed instead of the fresh, by-the-water, vibe we were hoping (and paying) to get. Also, the side of rice my wife got was inedible due to the flavoring. The patio was a nice space. The seating was comfortable. The soundstage and live music was cool. The staff was attentive & nice. We want The Point to be great. It’s just not there yet.
