Great Clean Lake! I absolutely love coming here. There's a bit of everything you can do with your family here at Mauch Chunk Lake. There's a super clean lake for you to enjoy. They also have a section for grilling. Or maybe you would like to enjoy a cayak ride in the lake, maybe a little boat ride. That's all available as well. And for those families that take the drive but don't want to drive back home, they offer camping sites. You may need to book camping in advance but you won't have to go far for some fun. Might I add, Downtown Jim Thorpe, PA is one of my favorite places to visit when in Pennsylvania.

A place to enjoy alone or with the family, it has an area to make a grill, with tables, it is a bit neglected but it does the job. It has an area to bathe in the river, there is a spa with a security limit and saves lives. You can take fast food or eat something fast since they have a small sale. They were only accepting cash. It has a bathroom and changing room area. It has parking lots. Good signage and roads. It has other areas for those who want to camp and can set up their tents and awnings. It is separated from the spa area and the grill area. They also have another area for small trailers. $10 cash is charged per person. In general you can have a nice day, it's up to you. It is close to the tourist area of Jim Thorpe and you can visit the shops and take the train. I recommend it and would go back…

Less people, less crowded. Much better weekend experience here than at neighboring Beltzville, most likely because you have to pay to get in. It’s $10 for adults and $7 for children if you’re visiting out of county. It’s about half of that if you live in Carbon County. Downsides are…. Lots of bugs, the grounds aren’t exceptionally maintained and you cannot grill. Still so beautiful there none the less.

There are cabins. Not sure about RV parking. Jim Thorpe Campground is right down the road, May be a mile from the park entrance
Yes. The space must be rented from the front office.
Not sure, good question. I would like to know for sure
The trails are in good shape. Everything in town is open.
Last day the beach is open is Labor Day
According to the website: "Alcohol and Pets are not permitted"
Beach is $3 if you're from the county and $10 out of county. Children are $2 and $7. Camping starts at $20/night if you're from the county. $40/night out of county. Prices go up if you want a cottage, extra vehicle, etc. Off-season prices are even less.
Yes but its extra . Unless your out of state I'm not sure.
Seniors citizen enter for free!
I believe you can at the camp store
they are not allowed in the park
Thanks Christine, going there tomorrow!
no they don't, you just rent the site, no hook ups. each site comes with a picnic table and fire ring with adjustable cooking grill. no alcohol, no pets. sites are designed to accommodate a single family unit up to 6 people. they do have a website you can check for more info.
Are the park open for people who is not residential??
There are changing rooms. Just infront of that there are two outside showers.
There is no charge for swimming. You only pay for entry in to the lake parking. There are washrooms and change area. I didn't really see a shower per-se but there arr taps outside to wash feet and slippers.
Depends if you are a county resident or not. 18/night for residents and 35/night for non-residents.
They do have boat rentals but i would check website for more details to find out where exactly you can rent the boats. Have fun! Such a nice place!!
Yes food is allowed best time week days early
Allen Bindi call them, they may have openings
