Good ,easy to moderate trails. Hiking, cycling, horseback riding. Lushious vegetation. Great job bringing it back from the fire that scorched it. Amazing views and photo-ops.

A very nice hike :) There are parts of the hike that can get a little hot or sunny but the further you walk into the park, the more shade there will be. You'll be able to choose from several trails and the level of difficulty of your hike. I recommend taking the Peter's Canyon Trail if you want an easy and nice hike/trail.

There's parking in the lower and upper area. Lower area tou can park in the elementary school after school & weekends. There's a testroom at the upper area by the ranger's station and port-a-potty in the lower area.
Yes dogs are allowed, leashed at all times. Of course you see dogs loose. They provide the poop bags and there's at least one water station for dogs.
The park is badly burned saddly. I'm guessing it will be quite sometime before that area will be open again. Months even.
You put it in the park position.
Yes, Peters will be open tomorrow just leave your fireworks at home!
No, there isn't any camp grounds. But there is some great hiking trails!
It closes at sunset, so it depends on the time of year.
If you park in the park yes but there are plenty of spots around that are free, it just gets packes quickly
Full trail from one side of parking lot to other side by residences its almost 6 miles
I have been training and hiking in Peters Canyon for +- 15 years, never seen a mountain lion in Peters Canyon. Rattlenakes during spring/summer, some Coyote's, rabbits, squirrel's and lots of people. The only screams I ever heard where from rattlenakes. Pretty safe place, but I always suggest traveling in pairs and keep your mobile phone on you. Enjoy.
Cash or card is accept at the machine. You can park at the school down the street for free and walk in
Not 100% whats in it. But I know it's used for the dam.
Open except for the trails around the lake. Some hikers are ignoring the trail closure tapes but these trails are not yet open around the reservoir.
