This is a really simple trail that is also a lot of fun! It's a great hike for nearby college students who are looking for a quick hike would really love this. The first part is paved with stairs, then it sort of turns to dirt and gravel. You can climb up as high as you want, and can end up catching a couple of pretty views.

It was a great place to hike. The trail was fairly clear of garbage, sticks, and rocks. I was able to take my dog out there and it was a perfect trail for it. The water was fun to walk along. The hike isn’t too long but is a couple miles back and forth. There were a bunch of beavers in the water so that was pretty cool. You have to go at the right time. Sometimes there are a bunch of people on the trail and it can get a little crowded.

This is my favorite hike. Moderate intensity at some points but definitely doable. Accessible for the hiking advocates and the couch potatoes. Well groomed walking trail. Beautiful sights. Plenty of places to rest (benches, picnic tables, lookout spots). You walk along a creek with some spring fed waterfalls and there's a little pond of sorts for dipping your toes in.

It was cool to see such different terrain on the same trail. Dessert and lush plants by the water. Loved the educational experience for my daughters too! It wasn’t a hard hike.. easy enough for kids!

Yes but use caution. Use a head lamp.
Yes, if you access the trail from the heise side. Heise has a lot of camping.
It should still be for a little while longer.
I strongly do NOT recommend it, for the Wildlife and sensitive vegetation in the area. But also, many people have anxieties and young children who are uncomfortable with loose dogs. Please, please always keep them leashed when in public.
You'll be able to make it pretty much the whole way, with exception of side trails, have fun!
It is less.
The trail up to the creek is less than a mile. The trail behind and around the creek branches off and comes back together in a few different places, so the distance can vary based on which paths you take. It's very short and easy in any case.
