Pay $28 at 3:01pm for “Express Priority Overnight” letter shipping to LA = Post office now only guarantees the delivery within the next 51 hours (6pm two days later), your letter will sit in our Oakland Distribution Center for the first 24 hours of those, and your package will be downgraded to “Priority 2-day.” Goto FedEX or UPS with your $28… USPS clearly has no incentive to offer better service than its competitors with policies like this. Update: This delay costed my business $600 in penalties. If delivery matters to you, go with a better service than USPS…

Hands down...the worst. just spent (45 mins) and only (1) teller to deal with (12+) customers in line. There is another teller, but she's too busy making & dealing with Passports only. 02.24.22 So Apparently Nobody picks up OUTGOING Mail from the USPS Collection Box located on the corner of 17th/Broadway in D-Town Oakland. My Freaking PKGS are in this BOX and CIVIC CENTER OAKLAND Postal Service are in Charge of collecting mail within our Zip Code. Calling this Place is a waste of time. Not one person or Supervisor or Manager picks up!

Me: hello Employee: *no response* Me: do you sell the tube boxes here? Employee: what you see is what you get. Me: so there's no flat rate for express? Employee: for you there isn't. ^ Because I didn't use the right box , but he didn't tell me that. Me: thanks! Employee: yup 9/10 times the interactions are like this. The workers there are rude, unhelpful, and lack basic manners. They've raised their prices but they haven't raised their employee expectations. USPS claims they want to remain competitive but their reputation is in the toilet. Besides issues with delivery and dependability, they have the worst customer service among all the couriers.

Came here to renew my passport and it couldn't have went more smoothly. I was in and out in 20 mins photos and all. Not to mention there was 3 of renewing. There was also lots of gift cards, gift bags and birthday cards, holiday cards etc the gift bags were a lot cheaper than at Safeway or Walgreens. Love that this post office is in a historic building loved the architecture of it! Also want to mention that the employees here were very nice too!! Will definitely be back!!
