My husband I lived here for 4 years during his PhD program at the U and this building was a great place to live. It was a very convenient location to campus for him, very easy access to the freeways to explore the Twin Cities, and a short distance from West River Parkway (along Mississippi River) which we walked our dog on almost every day. We lived through several staff changes at the front desk and everyone we worked with was friendly and very helpful. Maintenance was quick to respond to issues. Towards the end of our lease we had some issues with our washing machine and then later on our shower, which were both responded to very quickly and fixed right away. This is a great building to live with a dog, all the staff love saying hi, there's treats available at the front desk and tons or other dogs in the building for them to play with. Overall, 7West is a great place to live!

The building itself and the amenities are great, the gym, the common areas, the units all updated and modern. Management is not always communicative about issues happening in the community (i.e. people breaking into the building). However, they remedy issues as soon as they are brought to their attention!

We have lived at 7West for 3+ years and received excellent maintenance, security, & amenities during this time. The building is very conveniently located near 35W, I-94, the light rail, bus routes, bike paths, riverfront parks, and downtown. The building is very quiet and we rarely hear our neighbors. The maintenance team has been great, fixing any issues within 24 hours, they even have an emergency on-call line that responds quickly. We had our heat go out on a Sunday morning and an emergency tech was here within 1 hour. If I had to name any negative (albeit very small), the smoke alarms in this building are super sensitive and easy to set-off, which is just a slight annoyance for my dogs but pretty minor issue in the grand scheme of things. Would definitely recommend!

Great complex that's perfect for anyone attending UMN Law (right across the street). Even for those that are not, it's a great building with a good staff. Started with a 1yr lease, and added on 2 more years.
