The door to my room had obviously been kicked in at some point and did not latch properly. They charged a $50 deposit that was not mentioned when booking on the app or at check-in. Found out later when I checked my bank. They did return it a few days later but they should have let me know or just included it in the booking fee. I'm sure for an extra $20 you could find a much nicer room.

This hotel was really awful. It was very dirty. The room smelled dirty upon entering. Furniture was broken and poorly repaired. The ac was not functional and looked like someone had taken a hammer to it. There was garbage under the bed. There was no breakfast provided as advertised. The pictures online are truly deceiving as our room looked nothing like the pictures. We had to stay because of the late hour we arrived but if we had not been exhausted from traveling and had a choice we would have left immediately. There were very loud unsavory guests outside our room all night drinking and we felt very unsafe.

We chose this hotel as a place to stay the night before a huge endurance event being hosted out in Lawrence. We live about an hour outside of town and were hoping to find somewhere near the trails to get some sleep and maybe take a hot shower before the race. This hotel is not only disgusting and falling apart (other people's hair in the tub, really? rotting light fixture plates and mold in the corners of the hotel room) but it's also impossible to get any sleep. There was something going on in an upstairs room that sounded like a loose door banging against the wall, the lobby was lit by a lone bug light that made it look like a true murder hotel and, while there were an abundance of security cameras, the whole place felt skeevy and dirty. I understand that staying in a hotel is a gamble and that you may have noisy neighbors or whatever--that's actually less of my issue. The fact that the mattress was so broken down that we literally couldn't sleep without sinking in towards the middle was pretty rough. The sheets were clean-ish but overall the whole space needed a bath. There was no toilet paper in the bathroom (again, not the end of the world) and, as I said, the shower appeared to have not been cleaned between uses. Overall gross. I would stay as far as away from this hotel as possible. Especially for almost $100 bucks a night! I might understand if it was a $40 hotel room.

It's a nice hotel. Clean rooms. If you pay with credit/ debit, be prepared to pay a $50 deposit on top of your room charge. They give it back if they don't have to use it for incidentals. We went for Valentine's weekend
