This is a must do on your trip to Acadia national park. We covered 31 miles during our rental on an E Bike. Although you have to put a little work into some of the hills, it's wayyyy easier than if you were on just a regular bike. We saw some incredible views especially around Eagle Lake. The team at Island Time even gives you a little map and circles some of the best spots for you to explore. Definitely worth the cost. The bikes come with a little cooler on the back, so pack a lunch, and hit the carriage roads.

This is not to be missed in Acadia National Park. We frequently passed people on foot or regular bike that we pitied because they could not see the vastness of the carriage roads as we could from an ebike. This is the way to go! Bikes are comfortable, all-day cruisers. We stayed the FULL day (and then a few minutes longer, sorry!) You will have to put in a little effort, but most of the work is done for you with your bike on TURBO. The carriage roads are perfect for these bikes. No traffic and gorgeous views that are beyond words. Meet at the Hull's Cove Visitor Center and you're off! I cannot stress how easy these routes are in comparison to other national parks we have visited (Zion, Great Smoky Mountains). Be sure to see as many of the bridges as you can find and don't miss the ride up Day Mountain. You will likely be all alone at the top. We were. If you do nothing else in Acadia, bike Rockefeller's beautiful carriage roads and see the fantastic artwork of the bridges he designed and funded. Thank you Mr. Rockefeller and thank you Island Time bikes!

Rented 2 bikes for a trip into the western side of Acadia. Staff was easy to work with and bikes were great fun on a beautiful September afternoon.

E bikes are the future. Hop on one and you won't regret it. So much power you barely have to work to get around. We enjoyed the western part of mount desert island, guided by the man working in this shop. It was quiet and beautiful through the woods then a bit on the road to see a lighthouse. Rent one of these and youre free to explore.
