Harbor Ridge always feels like "coming home!" All rooms are immaculate, needs are attended to like family and the location is perfect for relaxing at the resort or day trips anywhere in Acadia national park. The staff is welcoming and attentive and provide suggestions from the best places to go on MDI to how to cook a lobster! Spectacular views, quiet setting and shops nearby...perfect!

Beautiful area and great location even in cold weather. Kitchen was equipped well but some cookware (frying pan) needs to be replaced. There were a few maintenance issues, but everything we brought to their attention was corrected swiftly. We thoroughly enjoyed our vacation and Harbor Ridge. Carlene and Margaret (& all the staff with whom we interacted) were great.

Great experience! Will return for another summer. All units are fully furnished townhouses - spread over three floors, bedroom, bathroom and deck on the third floor; kitchen, living room, toilet and another deck on second floor(ground level); and jacuzzi and stand-in shower on the first floor(basement on ground level). It had stacked washer and dryer too. Sunrise is incredible over the mountains. Staff was very helpful. Miss the stay. The clubhouse has gym, a few games, pool and a hot tub.

It was a Pleasure to stay. I am excited to experience a week in the summer or early fall! Beautiful resort and an equally Beautiful scenery!! Everyone was so kind and helpful and we were sad to head home!!

Ae are at Barbor ridge evedy August . Generally it is not a problem. All units have ceiling fans and mostly theze are vedy effective. Once in a while wben tbe dYtime hivhs are in the 80's and humid, i have wished for a/c. Mostly during such a heat wave we spenx more time in the glorious and beautiful lames Nd ponds of mdi.
Maine Coast Hospital is located at 50 Union Street, Ellsworth, and the MDI Hospital is located at 10 Wayman Lane, Bar Harbor. Each of the hospitals are located about 25 minutes from the resort.
There is also Sawyer's Market in the center of town. Many of our guests stop in Ellsworth prior to their arrival to shop for groceries at Shaw's, Hannaford, or Walmart.
As the others have mentioned, we do have hair dryers in the master bedroom bathroom and the guest bedroom bathroom. Two years ago, we added a heat pump in the living room of each unit, which can be used as an air conditioner. It primarily services just the living room level. The lower level remains cool. During an evening on a hot summer night, by turning on the ceiling fan, opening the skylight and the bedroom windows, it will help bring the cooler summer ocean breeze through your unit.
I believe the closest is Herman MoUntain, About 40 Miles Away.... There Is A Lot Of Great Skiing In Maine bit not much within an hour drive! Good luck!!!
