A wonderful day out in the harbor. Stripers weren't cooperating, but with Capt Hugh and First Mate Matt's patience, experience, harbor information and engaging conversation the time flew by. They were constantly helping, casting and redirecting us to be able to catch a couple of good size stripers, and a dozer mackerel. Already thinking about booking next year with more family members.

Our family so enjoyed our fishing trip with Capt Hugh and Mate Matt. They set everything up and were so patient with our three kids. We saw much of the harbor and learned about the islands, saw seals, caught several striped bass and in general had a blast!

Our family had a spectacular morning fishing for stripers with Captain Hugh and first mate Fischer. Not only did we have a blast catching a bunch of fish, but Captain and mate shared their love of Portland and it's history throughout the trip. We also saw seals and the famous Portland lighthouse. Booked a day trip with Captain Hugh and first mate Matt. Even though we didn’t catch a bluefin, we had a great experience. Clean boat and great conversations. My visually impaired grandfather was able to catch a few fish with the help of Captain Hugh and Matty. They went out of their way to make us feel comfortable and safe on the boat. Hey Angela I do not know I've heard of some up in the mid Coast around boothbay harbor but we don't do any here they aren't that plentiful we catch them occasionally but nothing for a full trip I think if you Google halibut fishing mid Coast Maine something might pop up
Hey Christopher as long as the ground fish that we catch haddock and Ocean Pollock Are of legal size you can keep I believe 15 Haddick per person right now over 17 inches and ocean Pollick over 19 inches so yes we keep a variety of ground fish fillet it and put it in freezer bags for you. Striped bass are between 28 inches and 35 you can keep one per person I hope this helps
