The fall is great! Wonderful view of the falls from below. With the changing colors and all, beautiful tall running water going down the mountain. It looked great! Well worth the visit.

Crawford Notch is an absolute must visit in the New England Fall. It includes some of the most beautiful views in all of White Mountains. The trail to the top of Mt. Willard is worth checking out and there are tons of other less challenging walks and hikes.

The foliage made this hike over the top. We did the hike up the the falls but there are several routes. In most places the trail was wide enough for others to comfortably pass in either direction. Very well marked and clear trail routes. Bring a towel so you can enjoy the cool water!

One of the hardest hikes I have taken. We went up Frankenstein trail. What a workout. Our day couldn't have been more perfect as it was sunny but around high 70s only. Good thing the trails are shaded. Lots of different mushrooms also. Didn't get to go over peak and the the rocks were dried at top. No waterfalls that day. Would love to return and see the valley.

Is the Crawford path to mount Pierce do-able with a toddler? I Don't mind carrying him in a pack.

I carried my 5 year old son on my shoulders for the last .7 miles of the Mitzpah Spring hut cutoff trail, to reach the hut. Overall the trail to the hut up from the AMC Highland lodge is pretty rocky and rough, including that last part. But, if you're determined, capable and mindful, and patient, it seems reasonable.
