Tom and Jane were wonderful to deal with and while I did not end up having my piece restored by them at this time (due to a time-constraint) I wouldn't hesitate to use them for future projects. I would recommend them to anyone based on their prompt-communication, helpfulness, expertise and professionalism. These are people that truly care about their craft and their customers. If you need a piece of furniture restored, start by calling Tom and Jane!

I am satisfied with some of the restoration. However there are three specific aspects that I was not content with. We agreed upon a cap of $1000 for the task and this was exceeded. There also are two physical aspects of the task that are unprofessional. Screws were used to fasten venier in a sloppy fashion. Areas of replaced venier were not matched to the existing venier. The finish discolored this replacement. I would expect a true professional to be knowledgeable of the absorption and plan accordingly. I give a reasonable 3-stars based on these issues. Some of the restoration was very good.

I called and left a message, I hope it was just a mistake. His work is amazing and his videos are great!
He uses hide glue
He usually uses Famowood wood filler; most wood fillers can be brought back to life by adding acetone and mixing thoroughly
Hi John, thanks for watching my videos! The polish I use is Howard's Feed N Wax https://www.howardproducts.com/product/feed-n-wax-wood-polish-and-conditioner/
If you watch his many videos you see he uses hide glue.
