If you ever had a fear of getting trapped in an elevator I definitely would not recommend this apartment complex because I’ve been stuck in the elevator multiple times and locked out of my building multiple times due to the fact that the elevator only works using your mobile phone if you have Wi-Fi and if the signal is strong enough to allow you to operate the elevator from your phone. Whoever thought of this made a big mistake. I’ve never talk to anybody in this building who is comfortable with the current state of affairs of the elevators. It will be the reason I do not renew my lease.

I rarely leave reviews, but this one was a must to hopefully help any future tenants thinking of living here. The actual apartments are nice, however the structure of the building causes you to hear EVERYTHING from neighbors. I could hear my upstairs neighbor as if he lived with me, literally could hear him if he would do something as simple as sneeze. On top of this, before I moved out I made sure to have a walk thru with management so we were same page with what would be charged, as I saw so many reviews on here stating they were overcharged when they left. They assured me they were very fair about it. I was in the apartment for almost 2 years and they charged me an additional $400 to "clean" my apartment. Before this they were trying to charge me $600, but I did call and they were able to miraculously no longer charge me for the carpet fee they were claiming, which is concerning for many reasons. Also, keep in mind, I had no pets, one clock on the wall and am I very clean person. I will say, one of the managers there, Matt, is very nice and helpful, but overall I would never recommend this place to live at.

Well...if you are under 40 reconsider making this move. They don't replace refrigerator filters, if you are at the pool after dark people complain and that's within the curfew they give the pool. Yes there is a curfew for being at the pool. Maintenance issues take quite a bit of time and the office will lie to you about the reason for the delay. COVID-19 and supply chain is the biggest reason but you still get all your Amazon, UPS, FEDEX & USPS packages delivered to your door. Well delivery to the door isn't accurate and the package locker isn't accurate. You hear every single noise your neighbors make and neighbors complain about the smell of your food the sound on your TV and if you walk hard you will get complaints. Nice location and is setup for success but failed to meet expectations. This place should really be advertised as 55nand older. We have even had complaints about a baby crying. Nobody wipes down the gym even through covid and management doesn't ensure we have wipes available for equipment. But will request you keep your mask on. Packages are all throughout the hallways and pose a trip hazard but you are not allowed to have a rug at your door to dust your feet off before entering your home. The technology breaks down consistently and for unreasonable amounts of time based on what you pay in rent. Elevators are typically out of service so not as handicap accessible as it should be. When you complain you get nothing but excuses rather than results. We departed this place with a smile as it's a rip off for the cost and the service that you receive living here. Don't be fooled by the walk through and the lovely assistance from the front desk staff. They mean well and Christina and Matt are great people and want to help with everything. Christina should be the manager and the place would likely run much smoother. Current management plays lip service and doesn't produce results but will give you enough excuses to make you feel sorry for him having the job he has.

We love living at Camden Carolinian Apartments! We have been here since March 2021. The community is home to people of all ages and interests and everyone has been very welcoming. The apartment designs are very "current" and residents coordinate regular events and other opportunities to get together in the Clubhouse and other common areas that provide the ability to meet your neighbors. Management was very helpful in facilitating the leasing process and with all matters that come up. They also schedule food trucks, serving a wide variety of different cuisines, to arrive out front for weekend brunches or evening dinners generally at least once a month. Also, we have two puppies and have found the Camden Carolinian community to be very pet friendly. Our pups love to stop by the leasing office on the way outside for their walks to collect their daily treat! But probably most important has been the attentiveness to our service requests. Sal, the maintenance expert, has been very professional and efficient at dealing with any issue, big or small. He recently came to our balcony and carved a mud wasp nest out of our wall and placed it in a bag to humanely remove the nest. It's very nice not to have to deal with these types of things on our own! We would highly recommend this community to others that are looking to rent a luxury apartment near the beautiful "Five Points" area of Raleigh. Especially those who may be dog or other pet lovers!!
