Overall, Ellicott House has been an enjoyable space to call home. For starters, the maintenance staff is pleasant, and the residents with whom I have interacted are amicable. The concierge can be hit or missed, yet the standout, no matter the day, is Keisha. Thank you for being authentic and genuinely setting the best foot forward in assisting what can sometimes be difficult residents. Please compensate her appropriately if not already. A million thank you for all that you do. I kindly suggest more emails be communicated to the residents regarding transitional periods between concierge staff and temporary issues within the building to build trust and continuity. As someone who has worked concierge, a possible implementation can be a suggestions / additional comments box when the concierge is away so that upon return, they aren’t bombarded with surprises or disgruntled residents. This would allow for a queue-like system to be in place. Of course, the priority of request/comment is to be taken into account and would also be based on urgency. Alternatively, a monthly digest of community events and updates/changes in the building are continually significant. I’m aware the elevators consist of flyers with community events, but I am sure residents sometimes miss seeing the ad. The creation of an IG page may also attract a larger audience, especially the younger demographic. To pivot, the backyard patio is a great amenity, as is the pool and gym space. In the same breath, I do wish the equipment in the gym be better maintained, which aligns with my exact thoughts about the hallways. The carpets are due to be replaced, and the lighting bulbs can be brighter to bring the space more alive. Some hallways are inconsistent with this. Again, my experience has been majority pleasant, and there is always room for improvement. I would still recommend potential prospects to check out the premises on the possibility of calling this place home!

The leaking garbage disposer was perfectly replaced by a very professional and capable technician. However I did have to call three times to get it done even after filling out a work order on the portal.

Living at Ellicott House has been enjoyable so far! We have lived here several years and enjoy what the neighborhood has to offer. The staff are friendly and usually responsive. However, in the past year or so, the noise level in the area has gone up significantly. We figure that this is a direct result of the bus stop that has been moved DIRECTLY in front of our bedroom windows. In addition to the noise, we have had a few minor issues with how maintenance has (not) fully addressed plumbing leaks concerns,. Other than that we are happy with the maintenance support overall. Overall, the experience living here is a positive one!

I moved out recently due to personal reasons and can say with all certainty that Ellicott is one of the absolute best apartment I had ever had the pleasure of living in. I have lived in several different apartments along Connecticut Ave and I must say that this is an absolutely wonderful place. I never ever encounter any pest or had any concerns regarding safety. All my concerns(few) were dealt with immediately. About Amenities, they have opened a few up but they are absolutely lovely. They really handled Covid seriously and I appreciated all the communication. I cannot recommend this place enough. I will definitely miss it and the surrounding neighborhood!!! Everyone was very kind until my very last day. Stay safe and well.

Questions & Answers

I have a quick question: How do I adjust the air conditioner in my apartment? It says “cooler” at the top and “warmer” at the bottom, but then the arrows point to the middle. To lower the Air conditioner, do I point the nob up, down, or the middle?
