I take my daughters here from time to time and am always impressed by the quality of upkeep of the farm and the size of it. It really transports you to simpler times when you are waking around the property. There are also goats, sheep, rabbits, and other farm animals to see. Almost never crowded, this place is a local Fremont favorite of mine.

This was my first time visiting and it was just wonderful. Looking for a place to picnic with plenty of history and agricultural lessons for the kids, this is the place. I believe entry fee is $4 per adult and $3 per child but very worth it and the funds help keep this park as beautiful as it is. There are cows, sheep, pigs, goats and chickens as well as free roaming peacocks. Plenty of space on grass for lunch or tables if you prefer. Patterson House is a beautiful location for weddings. Plenty of shade to shield you from the summer sun and it's a quiet spot to enjoy. I went here alone to simply explore and shoot pictures and it didn't disappoint. There's also a train but as I was here on a Saturday it wasn't running. Be sure to check ahead if that is something you're interested in. There is a cute Cafe with snacks, drinks and lunch items as well.

Nice local historic farm to visit. I’ve been to Ardenwood a number of times and this time was to bring our kids. We were looking forward to the train but they now hand out tickets for a slotted time. We got there at 11am and got tickets for 1:30pm. It was too long of a wait since it was just about nap time. There’s a nice small amount of farm animals. Just enough for the kids to enjoy. It is also very stroller friendly here

Loved the farm. It is really historic. My daughter had a great time. Luckily we got train ride as well. Parking is free and entry fees is 6$ per adult and 4 for kids. No other charges. Considering Covid 19, everything was managed very well. I would say that you can spend 4-5 hours easily. There is small cafe as well which looked good. Must visit in Fremont.

Used to be able to but the store hasn't got back up again. I think since Joe got sick. But i think they might try it again...
Yes you can. Please check the contact number on the website.
Yes they do have like every year.
Yes, please check timing. There are 2 types of tours. 1. 10-15 mins doesn't show upper floor. 2. 45 minutes tour (approx 1:30 pm). This includes entire house tour. Must go for 45 mins tour.
Yes you can. However if it's small group, it should be ok however for big party, you need to speak and reserve place.
No. Last year was the last time they were doing the pumpkin patch. That decision was made before covid, so it was not cancelled because of that.
No, as of June 26, 2020
I am pretty sure they don't.
The entrance fee is $4 per adult. They dont check bags. we had picnic there, sandwich, chips, etc..there is a train ride you can take on Thursday, friday and Sunday, other than that not sure of other events..we saw few older kids digging after someone talked about rice farming, not sure if it was an event thing or impromptu
Tartan day. Scottish festival
I guess things do change in 20 years
No.
January is the best time for monarchs, but with all this rain, they might not have stuck around. There are usually a few but not the big bunches at this point of the year.
They're grown all summer and sold in October. Outside of October, you can buy the farm's produce at the Farmers market at Newpark Mall on weekends.
Yes i think so plus another place nice Shinn park fremont
We got there in 25min
We saw the monarchs yesterday, they are definitely in for this year!
