Great park! With lots of trails for Biking, Hiking, you may choose to see a different view with every visit. From mountains to meadows, hills and valleys, you can find a new path each time. There is a campground, Rolling M in Chino Hills (via Bane Canyon entry/exit). You can also visit from Corona near the Green River Golf Club, and Yorba Linda at Chino Hills visitor's center, a great place to find out info and bring the kids. Garden paths on this side provide a quiet place to let them roam.

We visited Chino Hills State Park in April. Nature looks really beautiful. I suggest nature and trail lover to visit this place in spring season. We park car at street reaching at park. If you don't want to walk lot, go with car up hill and at entrance gate pay $10 for parking. We walked as my family likes trail and walking. The day visited was partially cloudy and pleasant. If you are visiting Chino Hills State Park, you also can visit Baps Shree Swaminarayan temple, which is really beautiful and closer to park. Both together is perfect a day trip! We enjoyed nature.

1st time at this park. Very beautiful this time of year. Bet during summer it's brutal and ugly 😔 Wish it would stay like this all year round Cons, don't appreciate the fact I saw signs that said no dogs allowed on the trail. Electric and motorized bikes, I get it but can't go hiking or running with your pup pal... forget that

Very nice views and different types of flowers all over the place. Kids loved it, we only did about 3 miles each way, maybe next time we'll go a but further.

No
The entrance on the Brea side is fairly flat while the entrance in Chino Hills on the boarder of Chino does require a drive uphill
There are trail heads into the park near residential areas. Although some may have been closed do to the amount of traffic through the area. There are some where you can park on the street near the trail entrance and ride into the park. Mountain biking is permitted. Fees are $5.00 per vehicle ($4.00 seniors age 62+). Pay cash, check, or credit card to kiosk attendant or at the self-pay Iron Ranger box next to the kiosk. Camping: Chino Hills Campground is open 7 days a week $30 per night 8 people maximum per site. October - March 8am-5pm 7 Days a Week April - September 8am-7pm 7 Days a Week
Not on trails. Per the state website "Dogs are not allowed at Chino Hills State Park except at Bane Canyon Road, the Rolling M Ranch and in the campgrounds. They must be on leash at all times and are not allowed in the backcountry or on trails. Pets must not be left alone at any time. Dogs are not allowed at any other location. "
No, that is not a native plant.
Yes, walk in hours are sunrise to sunset! Many hikers/bikers park outside and get an early start.
No, its quite dry at the moment
If you brought all the equipment yourself i don't see why not. Nothing is provided though.
I was riding in there today, so we're many other people. I came in from the corona side, others came from carbon canyon side. Also no signs about being closed were posted so i would say yes it's open
Some, mostly not.
No, but you can go to Carbon Canyon which is right next.
Meaning MTB...YES
If you enter through the Yorba Linda side you will be able to see more stars and there are hills with killer views.
Enter off of Rimcrest street. You will reach a three pronged trail head. Choose any of the three and you can't go wrong. I recommend going left up the hill to glider point, the view is spectacular.
Enter off of Rimcrest street and enter the park from there. You will have three options. You can go left up to glider point you could head to the right which is another steep climb, or you can go right up the middle which is a single track Trail. All three of these options are fantastic however if your grandkids are really young there is a very steep climb if you go to the left or the right.
Yes alot of horse trails, just becareful with ticks alot of people have been complaining last month even the ranger
No
Coming from 71 South freeway > exit central/soquel canyon and turn right > turn left on Elinvar > the road will eventually wind to the left, the entrance will be almost immediately on the right hand side (often times you will see many cars parked at this left hand turn because people like to hike inside) > drive through the gate and travel down the long road and you will eventually come to a state park booth where you can pay to get in with you car [I believe it's lime $5].
Yes they do, check out their Facebook page for more information.
I have not yet camped over night there but I will say that I would recommend that you do this during cooler weather
