“Logan swift” also pulled me over on my way back from the sea-tax airport! He claimed I was going 88 in a 70, but that is not true. I do admit I was going over the speed limit, but not by that much. I was ticketed $190.00. This is my first speeding ticket ever since I’ve had my license. All drivers be aware that there is a speed trap between Ellensburg in Yakima. If your coming from Yakima it is right after you pass the city of Ellensburg, and before you get into Selah. More specifically before you start climbing the hills. I know this to be a proven fact from the conversations I have had with friends, family and co workers. I hope this saves some people time and money!! Once your through Ellensburg feel free to pick the speed back up. Yakima isn’t as broke as Ellensburg, and doesn’t need to falsely accuse someone of speeding. They have plenty of crime unfortunately to help pay for city projects. Oh yes one other thing. When I got pulled over the officer wasn’t even behind me or on the side of the road so there is no way he can come up with a specific Mileage of me speeding.

Passing through town several months ago, going 75 in a 70. I had my cruise control on and going 70, but was going 75 to pass a semi truck that was throwing rocks and chipped my windshield. Cop pulls me over claiming I was going 83 in a 70. I have a perfect record, yet the cop LOGAN SWIFT disregarded everything I said. Now my perfect record is tainted for SEVEN years because of the lieing cop, in a small town that writes up everyone for everything they can😠 Good luck appealing anything if you're also wrongfully accused of anything!

The County Clerk is a nice gal but her unterlings can be a bit snippy over the phone.

Was given a speeding ticket for 80 in a 70 and an unsafe lane change. The officer witnessed my lane change from inside a passenger window he was leaning in giving a ticket. He claimed that an airplane had caught me speeding as he pulled me over 15 minutes later. I asked for any data that said I was speeding, denied by officer. He laughed at me and said I must be from California. Good guess, you are holding my license but, I had to tell him 3 times I was driving a rental and didn't have insurance so listening was not his job. I explained i was cut off and had to change lanes for safety. I was told to never change lanes for safety. I called the court a few weeks later since I was traveling and not from Seattle. They wanted a payment. Wait, I want to appeal. Had to send a letter they confirmed they recieved to appeal. I explain in letter I didn't have the ticket and didn't realize they would NEVER mail me one. I got plenty of collection notices though after I called them. Then my appeal was denied based on me not appealing within 15 days. Pretty short and ridiculous process for someone out of state. Your local government just scammed me for $350 bucks. Tourists must love it here. Also your prerecorded 5 minute message I must listen to in order to speak with a person is antiquated and absurd.
