Absolutely love this park! So many ways to adventure with kids, dogs or solo. We love swimming in the river as well

Great park with lots of different options. Great informations about the different trails available, helping you decide depending on your level and how much time you have. We did the Shevlin loop and it was beautiful despite being very muddy :)

Walked the dog just before sunset and it was pretty crowded. Everyone is very respectful in terms of sharing the trail. Went again in the morning just after sunrise and it was MUCH quieter. Did the Shevlin Loop which was a great little run. Views of the river and towering trees.

A great place to walk your pup or just enjoy the towering Ponderosas. Runners and walkers alike find the assortment of trails a joy to spend time out in a truly natural setting. There is also a paved road, closed to car traffic, for bikes or walkers who require a smoother surface.

Hi Maureen, the tree is still there but the sign is no longer there. It was originally placed at the tree by a park user. It’s 200-300 yards upstream from Aspen Meadow, although it's not the largest tree in the park. We hope you get to see it on your next visit. Thanks!
It's owned and operated by the Bend Parks and Rec, which is a separate municipal entity from the City of Bend. It's a special taxing district with it's on rules and ordinances, in addition to the City of Bend or Deschutes County. I do believe it connects to adjacent federal, city, state and private lands.
There's no camping allowed at Shevlin Park. It's actually prohibited. There TeePees are for a summer day camp that the local Parks and Rec runs.
Hi there, We have information regarding fishing in parks on our Bend Park and Rec website under the parks and trails section (https://www.bendparksandrec.org/parks-trails/fishing/#). You can also find a plethora of helpful information about fishing opportunities and regulations on the ODFW website here: https://myodfw.com/. We hope that helps. Thanks!
Hello, The Aspen Shelter is located close to the lower parking lot and 1st footbridge in Shevlin Park adjacent to Tumalo Creek and to the Shevlin Park Trails. Please call (541)389-7275 for more information. Thank you!
Yes. There are trails that differ in difficulty. It is not uncommon to see folks running, walking (both with and without dogs) as well as folks on mountain bikes.
