This library is a good spot to tread if you have any down time. I used to come here a lot as a kid and still love it today as I did back then. Employees are nice. I've only had one bad experience here where i couldn't find my library card so i had to get a new one and asked the lady at the front counter if I could get a new one and she was a bit rude when helping me. I asked her after I got my temporary login about resources for pregnant woman and she looked at me like I was stupid and just told me I can use the login she just gave me and look on the computer.

Friendly staff! Great library!

North Spokane Library has some great programs they run for all age groups. We have gone to superhero night, light night at the library, family reading night, and so much more. They had a backdrop and props for pictures for superhero night and the boys loved posing for the pictures.

If you're a resident of Spokane County, there's no fee.
If you call the library, you will get an automated messege, and one of your options is to find out when story time is. I forget which number to press.
Hello! The Spokane County Library District branches (including the North Spokane Library) will reopen starting Monday, March 8. Each branch will be open on days when they would usually be open, and they'll be open from 12pm-6pm, with an extra hour (11am-12pm) on Tuesdays and Saturdays for high risk customers. You can find all the info on our reopening plans here: https://www.scld.org/library-reopening-march-2021/
Hello, You can give us a call at 509-893-8350, or you can place a book on hold online. To do so online, go to our catalog at https://scld.ent.sirsi.net/client/en_US/default and find a book. Then you can select "Place Hold" when you have found the book you would like to reserve. It will prompt you to put in your library card number and your password, and then will ask you to pick the library branch where you would like to pick it up. The book will not be ready for you right away. You will need to wait until you get a notification (through email or phone) that it is ready to pick up, and then you can pick it up with our Curbside pickup services, Monday-Saturday, 12-6pm. If you have any other questions, please feel free to give us a call Monday-Saturday, 12-6pm, at 509-893-8350. We hope this helps!
Hello, You do not need a library card to use the computer as a one-time instance, but we do ask that you get a library card if you will be using our computers regularly. When we reopen starting November 12, you will need to reserve a time on the computer ahead of time. If you give us a call at 509-893-8350, we can give you details on how to reserve a computer without a library card, and we can go ahead and get a time for you reserved, if you would like. We hope this helps!
Hi Debbie! Yes you can! If you are traveling to the library on foot you can call the phone number on the curbside pickup signs in the library’s parking lot and explain your situation. Library staff will discuss how they will bring out your holds and how you should pick your items up curbside. If you don’t have a mobile phone, call the library before you’d like to pick them up and arrange a day and time for pick up. Thanks for your question!
When we get to the third Stage. We are still only in second stage.
Yes we do! You can print up to 80 pages a week for free!
Hi Lana! We do not have a fax machine but there are faxing services at the Fred Meyer on North Division near the library and the Winco over on North Nevada St. Thank you for your question!
Hi Nicholas! Customers may print up to 80 single-sided pages (or 40 double-sided pages) and copy up to 80 pages per week (Sunday through Saturday) free of charge. Our machines are not models that are set up for the kind of volume you are asking about and 700 is a bit more than our limit. FedEx/Kinko's or Staples would be better able to print the amount you are needing. Hope this helps! Thanks for asking.
Hi Lana! You can find the books that the North Spokane Book Club is reading on our book clubs webpage located here: https://www.scld.org/book-clubs/ Thanks for for the question!
Hi Susan! We don't have any classes coming up but we do have a Book-a-Librarian service that can help. You can fill out a form on our website or call any of our libraries and they can schedule time for you to sit down with a librarian, one-on-one, and help you download books onto your phone. The webpage is located here: https://www.scld.org/connect/book-a-librarian/ Have a wonderful day!
The library! Duh...
Hi Doug! The library does not have a notary public. There is a UPS store at 7115 N Division that does although they may charge a fee. Another option would be asking your current banking institution as they usually perform free notary services for their existing customers. Good luck!
Lainy is correct! You can renew items either by phone, online, or by coming into any of our libraries. If an item has a hold on it then it can't be renewed. Thanks for your question!
There is no fee to replace a lost card. Just bring your ID with you to the library on your next visit and staff will be happy to help get you a new card. Thanks for the question Jack!
Only black & white printing in the county system; not sure about city libraries
No, it's a public library...unless you're out of the system footprint in which case I'm not sure.
Bus 25 and 28 both come every 30 minutes until the evening (around 6pm, I think) when they change to once an hour. It's about a half hour ride to the downtown plaza. The bus stop is right next to the library building, on Hawthorne (or right across the street if heading north).
You can do so on Overdrive, the mobile app is called Libby
If u want to reserve a computer you must go into the library and put ur name pn the list. They have a first come first serve type of usage policy.
