My favorite place to camp in Lesterville. Nice quiet campground right on the river. It has decent bathrooms and showers. It had a nice playground for the littles and if you get the right spot you can view the river from your camp site.

Love this place!! You can camp right on the river on a few of their campsites. Strange pricing set-up, but worth it! Small store on site for necessities. Free showers.

This is the worst float camp I've been to so far, the only reason for 2 stars is because we did get to complete our trip and float. First off the sites are extremely small, and when we got there the site we had booked had 2 different campers that were halfway on the site leaving no room for our 2 tents. They did allow us to move to a different site though(the camp host should have told the 2 campers they have to move or be charged for that site too). The sites were not very defined, people just kind of pulled up and dropped their camper where they felt like it. We also had to drag over our own fire ring because we didn't have one. On the day of the float there wasn't much direction on where to go or what to do, lucky for us we were seasoned floaters so we had a good idea what to do already but if you're a newbie you would have been lost and wonder what to do. The bus drivers didn't have on any clothes to let us know they were staff in the first place so we didn't even know which people were staff until they got in the driver seat. They didn't even really speak to anyone or greet anyone getting on the bus. Most people were confused on what to do or where to go and just kind of followed others as a group hoping they're going the right way. Once at the launch point I had to ask several times which raft was ours because they were not clear. The whole campground and float was very disorganized. We will definitely not be back.

We've been there twice so far and have a third planned for this summer. The Black River is beautiful. The campgrounds are mostly shaded. The facilities although old and a little run down, were always clean. Staff is friendly and accommodating. Great place. We'll keep coming back.
