Love this locally owned Family business. We've always had the best time using Franklin Float's whether it be camping or floating. We've made so many amazing memories with family and friends my entire life on the black river. Excited to get back on it this summer. See y'all soon.- Aubrie Cole, Andrew, and Austin too

As soon as we got there they asked if we were ready to get on the bus. I began gathering our stuff as my other half went in to pay. Apparently there was some confusion and he was being asked if we called, which we did a few times, and they couldn't figure out what price we were paying. This was a bit unsettling, not sure if different prices are used based off if you made a reservation. Never got any clarity on that. We paid $125 for a 4 person raft with a reservation made over a week in advance. They also seemed to not be able to find the reservation, maybe it was because I was the only one to speak with the gentleman on the phone and they weren't expecting a man to pay? The bus rides were an experience. They don't sound like they will make it through all the hills and turns, but somehow they do! There were really nice parts of the float, but always double check levels first! Gauge was at just about 1.3 ft and we walked a very good portion along with pulling the raft (2 adults and one child in total). It was our first time floating so we had no idea about the route etc and didn't get a map/info because they just needed us to pay and get on the bus that was waiting. We had to settle for just watching the other Franklin rafts. I luckily spotted a couple rafts at the pullout and we headed that way just in time before we ended up passing it. Fortunately, we also ran into a lot of friendly floaters that helped us navigate a bit to avoid some shallows and told us how far in we were on the trip. I would go again, but if we do we will be arriving early and calling the day before to confirm the reservation so there's no confusion. We will also check the river level beforehand too! Side note - normal/medium sized coolers are welcome in the rafts!!! When they say large they mean the ones that are basically the width of a vehicle that take 4 people to carry!

These guys are really good guides. They know the Black River really well. I have been using Franklin Floats for almost 20 years.

My friend and I camped and floated last minute. When I called, Franklin was so helpful. I really wished we new about them before. It was ones of the best floats I've ever had on the Black River. Franklin, his wife and Bob were very down to …Glad you had a wonderful experience. That’s our goal!
