Thank you for the wonderful memories that'll last us a lifetime. I hadn't been in a decade or two however it was just as exhilarating as it was then. Our guide was knowledge and ensured our safety throughout the entire trip.

White Water Rafting at ELC was the most fun I have had in years! Jim was our guide and he was AMAZING. We expressed to him that we wanted adventure, so he made our trip down the river the roughest he could (but safe, obviously). We are already planning another trip!

We had a great time with the ELC crew and the weather could not have been better. We put in in a pond and paddled to the first rapid..a staircase of 3 , class III Rapids. We stopped for a swim and snack, then more Rapids, all class II and III in that section and got nice and water logged. There was a place where kayakers hang out, and since our whole group had gotten an on time start, and the area wasn't too crowded, anyone who wanted to jump on and swim the rapid did so. That was fun and safe with 3 guides with ropes to catch anyone who might miss the eddy back to shore. Then we got to the Class IV section and lost a few out the boats. Exciting and a blast. We ended with a 45 min, scenic pontoon boatride back to the buses. Light snacks for anyone who wanted them. Back at ELC, we got lunch of Chicken salad wraps, potato salad, etc. To the 1 star commenter below, YES, the chicken salad was in a bucket, but it was prepared by a local Maine company, not Wally World 😋. It was not sold to us a rapid after rapid of class VI, so we were certainly not disappointed, and we have done class IV and V in the NW. We never felt an "oh sh*t" moment, but for those that ended up in the water at the class IV, you can get that. A good guide gives the thrills, but keeps the folks safe. This team delivered!!

Have rafted with these guys multiple times over the past several years, and they never disappoint! Having rafted both out west and all over New England, raft guides can sometimes be hit or miss. However, the one thing that consistently sets ELC apart from other companies is how personable and fun the guides make each trip. They are very professional and know their stuff - always felt very safe on each trip. Plus, if you have extra time, their self-guided ropes course is a blast.

Wear layers to keep warm. Bring a change of clothes because you will get wet!
