Sears Appliance Repair

I had someone come to diagnose an issue with washing machine and estimate repair cost. The machine needed a part that cost $47 and the labor was $343. For that much labor charge, I opted to buy a new machine. I thought the labor charge was very high. While he was there, we had maintenance done on dryer. He took off the back panel while the dryer ran and said everything looked clean and that was it. Overall, I wasn’t impressed. Labor charges were too high and maintenance was a waste of money. I always liked using Sears to buy my appliances in the past, but I don’t think I would call again for appliance repair or maintenance services.

After waiting more that a week for our appointment, the tech arrived on time and part in hand. Great service, and repair man was very courteous and finished in a timely manner. W always get sears points, for some reason we were told we were not able to on this job. Just surprised at that but glad to have the work done. We have used Sears for many years and never disappointed.

The service engineer who came was delightful,the problem came later.He fixed my ice machine by unblocking it;however 2 hours after he left I still had NO ice. I called A&E service because it seemed not to be working,I just needed to speak with the service guy to ask some questions.....they were awful,they just kept telling me I had to set up another appointment.....nobody ever called me back........about 5 hours after he left it started making ice again,still have no idea why it took so long.Suggestion to A&E your customer service needs to improve.
