Amazing! It was full of beautiful to look at, and they have a good selection of yarns that I've never seen before (and I look at a lot of yarn haha). They are also the loveliest people to chat with! You can tell the store's run by people who genuinely care about knitting and knitters!

I never write Google reviews but I went in today for a couple of skeins and was completely charmed by the store and Don and Janet. I will definitely be returning and will make it a staple for my knitting needs!

Best knitting shop ever! The sweet older couple that owns the shop are more than happy to help you with all your knitting needs. They’ll even teach you if you’re a beginner! You can tell they really care about their customers.

Putting on the Knitz is located in western Newton and I found it to be part lovely and part cringe-y. The Pros: 1) Great selection of yarns - don't be fooled with what it out on the floor! What you see is the floor model but the rest of the stock is in the basement. The owner is more than happy to bring more out once you select a yarn. 2) The prices were very reasonable and I noticed most of their items were on sale. I was very happy with my final price. 3) Very enthusiastic knitters/owners. The Cons: 1) That last pro is also my first negative point. The owner is so vehement on "the right way" to knit that it is abrasive. 2) The place could use some cleaning up and better organization. The yarn I purchased is beautiful but I received two donut balls that were quite messy. It's worth a visit if you are a local, have tried all other shops, or wish to check this one off your list. I would not recommend it to someone visiting the area looking for a cute and nice LYS. I rather drive further out and sadly, will not visit this store again.
