Start off with nice complimentary bread. I like how they have seasonal menu, but it is a fancy restaurant so the menu is very vague with what it is, also not too many options. Chicken? So crunchy and great. The waitress we had was very nice. However, the food was really salty for some reason.

Star ratings. 1 bad. 2 below average. 3 average / neutral. 4 good. 5 excellent. Love the atmosphere and location. Service and food was great. Love open kitchen designs. Large wine list. Cocktail list slim but focused. Overall food was good. Salt use is evident but not distracting. Love the use of oils. Definitely use the bread for dipping in the Asparagus soup. Chocolate mousse is super rich definitely for sharing. Shrimp was great very well balanced plate. The almond anchovie added the perfect amount of crunch. Campanella was good. More peas would've been nice. Asparagus added good crunch to dish. Bonus came by when morels were in season. Overall very well priced for meal.

Brazen Open Kitchen is one of our favorite restaurants in Dubuque. From the moment you walk in, everything is on point. The staff, decor, food and of course cocktails are 🔥 Kevin is always creating great dishes and Jon makes some of the best cocktails in town. Their fried chicken is a must.

Loved my first experience here. Love the farm to table feel. All fresh, quality ingredients. Well seasoned and very flavorful. I forgot to take pics of my actual entree, but I will revisit and post those pics soon. Only downside was the wait time to get our food.
