I lived at Metropolis for 18 months and did not renew because I purchased a home. Overall my experience wasn’t too bad. I loved my studio and how spacious it was. I loved the modern finishes and my washer and dryer were great. I had an amazing neighbor that was great to hangout with too. The leasing team is very friendly and helped me out whenever I had any issues. The only problems were mostly irresponsible pet owners that don’t pick up after their pets (pets peed in elevators). I felt so bad for the maintenance team because they were always put to work cleaning up after these ppl’s pets. Also- too many large dogs that are not friendly (clearly not ESA’s). I’ve had a few instances with unfriendly dogs who clearly are not trained and the owners don’t seem to care. I hope Metropolis starts investigating these types of pets and reconsider accepting the ones who are dangerous. Not all are like that- but I’ve found a few new ones that were recent residents. The other issue is the constant smell of weed during the weekends & late hours. You learn to live with it as that’s just how apt living seems to be, but it’s pretty bad. The biggest issue is the constant fire alarms going off every weekend. I’m not sure why that happened so often, but it was consistent. But in general my experience was pleasant. The gym is really nice, and the pool is clean & well kept. The location is convenient and residences are friendly. Overall I’d rate my experience a 4/5.

Whatever you do don’t live at this place or the very least don’t live on ground floor. Zero locks on the patio easily accessible to anyone who is walking down the street at any given time. It’s our first week living here and we woke up this morning to a homeless man sleeping on our patio. After contacting the office and nobody coming to address the problem. The man broke into our apartment using some sort of object and entered the apartment. We had to run out and contact the police. The lack of security is extremely concerning. We were not able to even move apartments and no changes regarding security were made.

This is by far and away the least sound proof apartment I have ever lived in. The front doors to every apartment are hollow metal and you routinely hear dogs barking, doors slamming, and car alarms in the parking garage going off. There is almost no sound proofing between floors so I hear my upstairs neighbor's music and footsteps every day. They call them luxury apartments but they were clearly built cheaply. After a little over a year into our lease shelves are sagging, hinges are coming loose, and the windows provide no sound dampening. I've started sleeping with ear plugs in. Its proximity to UCI means there's a lot of students here which equates to loud music late at night and people revving car engines going up and down the street nearby. On top of that the fire alarm is triggered fairly regularly with no update from management if there was a fire or false alarm. After a year long string of thefts in the garages they finally installed security cameras but it remains to be seen if this fixes the problem. I've always found the staff to be friendly but never helpful. High turnover rate leads to very inconsistent information. All in all the apartments are not worth the cost of rent.

-nice big balconies which are hard to find -if you live facing White, you will have a great view but deal with the noise from the business at all hours of the night. Thought Irvine had rules about this, but the plastics company across the street works 24/7 and always has semis idling at all hours of the night that WILL keep you up. When I emailed the front office they told me there was nothing they could do. -units are nice, but the longer we live here-the more you see how fast it was built. many windows/counter top is pulling away from the wall and practically cracking. -awesome amenities -some neighbors are more than inconsiderate. My neighbor that parks next to me parks 3 inches away from my car everyday and it's impossible to use my passenger door. Also, drive very slow because everyone in their sports cars whip around the parking structure. Almost been hit multiple times -cleaning staff is extremely nice and hard working-A+ -I've had a few emails go completely ignored... -one of my biggest issues that has changed...we are no longer permitted to park on Sullivan. Until 6pm everyday, only workers of the businesses in the strip mall in front of us are allowed to part there-what?!?!? This is OUR complex and that should be for OUR guests. Our guests and family members usually have to end up parking in an abandoned parking lot across the street that isn't paved and my sister got a flat tire from. All in all still love living here, but some things have disappointed me

I believe there is a noise policy. No loud, distributive sounds after 10pm. Onsite security does enforce this policy. I hope this helps. Also our structure and walls are very well built and cancel out lots of noise.
Why wouldn't Malaysians be able to live there is no restrictions on race that's illegal
