The Dakota Apartments

This is the PERFECT apartment complex for anyone not concerned with finances and working on a great comedy routine. The staff is hilariously dramatic and nosy (especially Kayla). Your amenities won't exist (they didn't open the pool until late June). The garbage service just straight up doesn't exist. But they DO have cool yoga gatherings from time to time. Cops are around all the time... Weird? Yes. Do they care? No. Don't waste your money unless you're looking for material.

So I had spoken with a two people, I believe Anna Marry and Erin over the phone they were great! I toured with Erin and had a great experience, probably one of my favorite of my tours. She was very kind to my roommate and I and was very informative and personable but also kept it light and funny. We can’t wait to move in!

Tl;dr: The community is generally not safe and management does not care. What good are amenities etc. when you aren't safe? Since I moved here over the summer, there have been several car break-ins, and reports of apartment break-ins. Following these events, management does absolutely nothing. No mention of security, cameras, additional action taken to ensure resident safety and property protection. Instead, we are all sent a condescending email telling us not to leave things in plain sight and be aware of our surroundings etc. (lol, duh). This email ends with the following: "As you can understand, no one can ensure the personal safety of yourself or that of your guests." This is obviously true. However, The Dakota makes absolutely NO mention of steps they are taking to make the community safer. Why? Because they aren't planning on doing anything, despite repeated break-ins. This is my primary issue, and the reason for 1 star. If you're not safe, nothing else really matters. Other things: Pros: - Nice interiors (modern, nice lighting and fixtures) - I like the pool area - Dog park is nice - Maintenance is really good. Prompt and exhaustive Cons: - Can hear neighbors partying often - People leave dog poop everywhere - Delivery companies deliver packages to common areas regularly, and management (surprise) does nothing about it besides put a sign on the door asking them not to.

We have been at the Dakota going on 5 months now and I’ve said it once and I’ll say it again that it has been hands down the BEST experience ever. From the moment we had our virtual tour, to our move in, to the friendly staff, the positive community that the Dakota provides, we would not have it any other way. The staff at The Dakota make living here so much fun, and they do their best to keep on giving; even during these crazy times that the pandemic caused us! We are so beyond thankful to have found this complex and felt welcomed from the start. This truly is the best apartment complex around! If you live here, you will NOT regret it!! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
