Absolutely a horrible shelter. If there was a zero star option I would put that but there isn’t. They are completely unprofessional. Their staff never answers the phone, they never reply back to people who are interested in adopting dogs that are scheduled to be euthanized. These poor dogs are doomed from the start, they euthanize dogs for “showing aggression” when all they are allowed is 30 hours of yard time a week. You try being stuck in a tiny box all day everyday listening to other dogs constantly barking wondering why you are even there in the first place. You would get aggravated too. Also don’t forget they euthanize dogs due to overcrowding. Completely unacceptable.

Difficult getting past a dispatch person. Sarah left me a massage with an extension. I tried multiple times to reach her and could not. The people who answered the phone were not helpful and said they couldn’t leave a message for me. One said, “I don’t know what to tell you.” I had had oral work done and was having difficulty speaking the day I was supposed to reclaim my cat and one was frustrated with the way I was speaking. and raised her voice at me. Very unprofessional. My cat is an inside outside cat that I rescued, he is fixed and microchipped. A neighbor took him to the shelter for an unknown reason. We are new to the community. I am disheartened by the events including how the staff treated me as though I was irresponsible.

I adopted a pet today and many of the negative complaints on the comments are someone incorrect. The kennels are clean kept, the staff was great and had no issues. What they need to address is the pet trading that is happening outside the shelter. People had boxes of kittens and puppies outside the shelter and would offer them to people. Someone even tried to sell me a puppy. I told them if they don’t want the dog take them in the shelter and I’ll happily take the dog from the shelter. The dogs that are red listed (death row) are dogs who can’t get along with other dogs. Some even returned by rescue because of issues with the dogs. I tried to take a red listed dog but got aggressive in the receiving area for me to take and I can’t risk him attacking other pets so had to pass and took a friendlier dog

I volunteer at the shelter, it's a great place and I've met tons of friendly people who work there or volunteer and the general public. The only sad part is there are several dogs (especially Husky) in need of a home and if they don't get adopted they are euthanized 😞 I groomed this little girl and made her pretty so she could get adopted. If you're looking for a new companion, visit the shelter, your new bff is waiting 😀

you can go apply to be a foster. just ask at the front desk
There is no such thing as a "no kill shelter". for a shelter to be a no kill shelter it simply has to have a 98% live release which means they can euthanized 2% of their animals and that will still make them a "no kill shelter". This shelter is awesome and does it's best to help the animals that come in.
I agree with Christine so I have a referral: Mary S Roberts off of Jurupa in Riverside.
That is a lie. I see on Instagram that the facility kills dozens of dogs A DAY! The “shelter” is more like a slaughter house. Please don’t take your pets here! Take responsibility for the pets you have.
If they are open, you can bring stray Dogs or Cats in anytime.
I have two small poddles unfortunately i cant keep both only one if you would like to see
They do not do free vaccines, only low cost first Wednesday 6pm-10pm and third Saturday 10am-1pm.
That is awesome that you guys are willing to donate! If you are local and in the area of Rialto, Rialto Animal Control has kennels where they board dogs over night and are always in need of some supplies. They would be super grateful. But shelters are always great and need stuff to. Also shelter are always looking for foster mommies or daddies for fur babies until they are of age to be adopted out.
They take in both and ive seen plenty of them through my volunteer work but they're in high demand so your best bet is to call the place & visit when you can and keep up with the website listing.
You have to call the shelter and ask to speak to the Noisy Animal clerk who handles nuisance Animals. Most people want to be anonymous but you cant be anonymous when it comes to Barking dog complaints
They will take the ferral but they kill them. Best to trap and tame and give to room 8. They are sold at petco and the money helps the older cats that are at the catery
Petharbor.com is a great resource to use when looking for a lost pet. Also good if you find a lost pet, or are looking to adopt a pet.
Yes, any medical paperwork and history is helpful. You can also try the Mary S Roberts Doption center- call them first. Good luck
Yes, immediately!!! That is totally animal cruelty..
There are veterinarians on staff that treat the shelter animals and perform spay and neuter surgeries. Unfortunately this shelter is not a full service clinic. Please visit your local pet hospital for medical assistance.
Truck driver and want a companion do you have any puppies want to have a dog that will protect and a female if possible
There isn't one. You have to catch them and take them yourself. We have been dealing with this where I live for 2 years.
Yes. They have a few holding kennels on the left side as you walk up to the main entrance. If they aren't full.
They do it twice a month from when I last visited call and inquire when is the next Rabie Clinic date
I believe a cat is just like a puppy it would she be 6 weeks old but I'm not too familiar on cats vaccinations compared to dogs sorry
Yes
They have many types of animals but you have to go see what is available
Yes there is still time right now they are giving them away for free but if they aren't fixed they go home on contract
Good experience
Call and ask them
Go to Animal Samaritans next door to Thousand Oaks Campus. They have handled two cremations for me. They take your beloved animal, and send them out for cremation. Mine are buried in my Front Yard now.
Call and ask them
They do not take appointments for Saturday vaccine hours
If you are transferring your dog to a different owner you called the licensing department and let them know that you were giving your dog to this person with the new address and information same goes if your dog is microchipped
Yes you have to pay but if there aggresive they won't accept them and if they do they might not get adopted so theyll be put down.what kind of dogs are they
This is not a good place to put up found dog notices. I recommend posting on Facebook community pages or flyers in your local area. You may also visit Petharbor.com to report found pets.
Third Saturday of each month 10am-1pm. First Wednesday of each month 6pm-10pm.
Call the shelter's main phone number listed on google maps.
Low cost vaccines, not free. Third Saturday of each month 10am-1pm. First Wednesday of each month 6pm-10pm.
First Wednesday of each month 6pm-10pm, third Saturday of each month 10am-1pm.
I have several loving affectionate cats that need homes by tomorrow. If you are interested in adopting maybe you could have one of mine. I'm in Jurupa valley
Yes they do
What situation?
Many people have the same problem if you are doing this on line. You are not alone. You can try making your payment on line and mailing the vac info or just mailing payment and vac info together. This is why I usually just walk in. Good luck.
No. Call them to pick up. I went There to adopt.
If you can trap the cats and bring them in we can fix them at no cost
It continues on Monday
10 am should be available for surrenders
If the dog is already neutered/spayed, the dog can go home the same day, if not you must wait until your new fur baby is neutered/spayed before you can take them to their new forever home.
Yep. I've seen them there before.
Yes, they do
Take to Mary S Roberts Pet Adoption Agency In Riverside. It's a No Kill rescue. You have to pay a surrender fee.
Sorry haven't been there in over 2 weeks
I know if you take the cat as a stray to the animal shelter they will spay or nueter for free and return them to the same neighborhood and address as they are considered community cats.
Call Mary S Roberts Pet Adoption Center First there a no kill pet adoption agency. They are a realy good local riverside staple
Go online and do it then they will set a date for you to bring your dog in
They have alot of cats and kittens

Just take it to the nearest shelter. There is one on Van Buren and Clay. They will take it. They will find it a good home.
Right now they are short staffed. Have you tried to email
it is appointment only
You can visit www.rcdas.org there is a section for volunteering
Go to City Hall with those documents.
Yes, call to schedule appointment.
Call them for an appointment.
Hello. This might be too late a reply, but the fastest way to get an animal control officer to your home is to call 951-358-PETS (7387). What city?
Their phones are very busy
We do not have those items for purchase, Nick. Sorry about that.
In unincorporated Riverside County and most cities that contract with Riverside County Animal Services: 4 dogs. You can have more than four dogs if you have a kennel license. When someone has more than four dogs, they would be cited for a "kennel violation," meaning they have too many dogs without a proper kennel permit.
Yes, its only $17 for the year or they do three years combined for 1 price. I can't recall how much exactly but that option is cheaper in the long run.
Please guys don't just say call these people but post the# and the website for them, remember they don't always know how to find it or may not have access to the tec to scerch for it.... thank you so very much. Laura 😋
https://www.ramonahumanesocietyvolunteer.org/here they give yoj more information
Put em in the "drop box" at the Animal shelter on van Buren Riverside. After 7 pm i believe.
They have one kennel of cats, 2 kennels for dogs.
What do u mean?
You can call the shelter or go to the shelter.
I took me girl to Riverside animal hospital on magnolia. Right across the street from Ralphs. There is also a very nice emergency clinic in murrieta. I went there when my golden was sick. They try and make it as comforting as possible for the procedure.
Found a two month old straight cat at my front yard, when I can dropped him in the shelter
They take all animals. If they're your dogs they charge $118 to drop them off but maybe if you explain the situation they will understand that they are not yours.
I actually don't know the answer to that I would contact Riverside and ask them I'm not familiar with how their policy is
The number to the shelter and tell them and they should tell you what or where to go
Yes they do that there, call to schedule. I don't think they take walk-ins
Yes staff is available to help with access to the cats n u can see them in there homes
Riverside county animal control department of animal services
Approximately $25 generally if current on licensing requirements per state law. Each request is subject to approval by medical staff.
Now,
It is suggested. Call 358- pets and ask for Elvira Valenzuela
Yeah contact their animal services and they should help you with that
Go online at www. rcdas.org and find out
Next clinic is feb 16th 10am-1pm
This facility is not a full service hospital. Only spay and neuter, licensing, adoptions.
Yes they can be dropped off at the front desk kiosk, thank you for your donation!
You can request another microchip mail-in form at the facility. Just be sure to ask what the microchip number for your dog is if you don't have it. If it was done at this facility, the dog should have a record of the microchip number in the computer.
No we are not
You can search https://www.petfinder.com/dog-breeds/ For an up to date list of animals in your area
The prices for dogs ranges from $25 to $105.
Yes small fee, depending on licensing. I would suggest you try to find a friend or rescue before surrendering.
About $ 100 or so. You can make an appointment, you just need to call the general number.
Yes, licensing department is open 11am-5pm Saturdays. 11am-6pm monday-friday.
Only the third saturday of the month. 10am-1pm. Most people start lining up around 7am but wait time is usually shorter around 12pm. Expect wait times between 1-3 hours long
No
You must be the registered owner of the dog or have written/verbal consent from the owner with proof. You can walk in to the shelter and staff will evaluate your dog based on medical and behavioral requirements to see if surrendering your dog is the right option for you. Monday-Friday 11am-6pm Saturday 11am-5pm.
Please call the shelter's main line.
Yes.if you start walking to the main door if you look to your left there will be these metal doors that look like lockers.
Go to the licensing window at this facility, make a left after you enter the main doors.
The cat must be in a trap before animal control will pick up a cat. Call the main line for more information about trapping.
You can check Petharbor.com for an updated list of lost pets. You can get more information from the shelter or by calling the main phone number.
Take her back
I found a dog in the city of Rialto, she seems very well kept. Are you guys open on sundays??
Not quite sure
Yes they do. Just tell them that the mom cat gave birth there and she is not yours. They only charge fees if your the owner.
Call animal control .they will send someone out to get thems
They euthanize here. A cat gave birth at my mother's I had gone to the san Bernardino shelter and they told me to go to the riverside since I live in fontana. luckily I came a across a lady that foster the kittens and gets them adopted. I would call san Bernardino shelter ask them if they have foster people know of kitten rescue.
Depending on your income, you can fill out paperwork at Mary Roberts shelter for a program called Pay-it-forward.
If the dog is adoptable they probably change the dog to the adoption section. I would just call them up. If you go in person you fill out a paper then they take you to the back where they keep all the dogs. Some dogs are still not on the system. I lost my cat that's what I had to do. The lady also told me if there not on the system then they were adopted. They also keep a folder in the main entrance of dogs and cats that they had to put to euthanize.
Yes unfortunately yes they do
Always do that they never answer the phone
Just keep them at your house call the animal shelter and tell him that you have a stray dog at home that you want picked up he's been roaming around in the streets
I'm not sure you might want to call

16 years old
It cost me $25.00 and no appointment needed.
Is this for a senior? I ask because the day of the week may make all the difference . I'll check it out for you. BRB
Are any of the kittens still available
No
Only take it there as a last resort. Animals too young to be without their mother will be euthanized in most cases
Call animal control
No
IF possible, please either leave the kittens where they were found, the mother is usually nearby finding food, OR, hold on to the kittens until they are at least two pounds and healthy enough to be in a shelter environment.
Third Saturday of each month 10am-1pm. First Wednesday of each month 6pm-10pm.
Check Petharbor.com for updated lists of adoptable animals.
Well yes you can drop off wild rabbits and you will need a bit of paper work but other wise the rabbit will be fine
16 with parental consent. 18 years of age otherwise
You can check Petharbor.com for stray animals or visit your local shelter in person
I do not recommend dropping off sick kittens since the shelter is not a full service hospital and the kitten can pose a threat of illness to the cat population at the shelter. If you would like to treat the kitten please visit your local vet.
