Went there after a hike to buy a six pack. As I entered the door two employees where behind the counter, one of who was glaring at me. I was taken aback but went to the cooler and grabbed my choice of beer and approached the counter to wait in line. As I waited I looked up and saw the same employee continue to glare at me. We had a stare down and she finally looked away. This employee's name tag read Mercedes. The second employee I am familiar with and is always nice and calls you 'hon'. NOT Mercedes. As I was waiting in line the nice employee said 'We are having a shift change, it will be about five minutes'. Another customer approached the counter and asked to buy a lotto ticket. Mercedes said very abruptly 'it will be a few minutes' as she stood and brooded while the nice employee closed out her till. After the shift change Mercedes rang up my order without a please or thank you. I would like to think that maybe someone was just having a bad day but to be quite frank I think that I looked too white for Mercedes as is the only reason I can think of as to why she would show such unprovoked hostility toward me as I walked in and as I approached the counter. You could just FEEL the hatred and her sulking appearance was in quite contrast to the other employee who was connected to an oxygen bottle but who still showed kindness to those who entered the store. Mercedes needs to work somewhere else where she does not have to endure the presence of white males. Really, that was what this was all about.

As an owner of a service company where we are out in the field all day, we frequently need to stop, get gas, buy snacks, and use the restroom. This has always been a great place for that. Not anymore. No public restrooms... Between our multiple trucks we probably spent a couple hundred dollars here every month. Unfortunately, they've lost all of our business if they can't provide restrooms. Hopefully a new Maverick station pops up nearby soon. Happy to change my review if you change your policy back to how it was.

Just stopped in for the usual (gas and coffee). Very odd gas station attendant. He was singing "Call me maybe" awhich my friend and I just assumed he was having fun as night shifts can be grueling...but then he awkwardly turned it into a way to hit on us and ask for our numbers? When denied because we have partners, he then made comments about how women only give out their numbers as pity....then later ignore the guys they give their number to... it was pretty uncomfortable so we tried to check out asap. When paying for our items he cracked what we thought was another joke about him getting a cut of the transaction which we then laughed at but he awkwardly asked "what are you laughing at?". Finished the transaction so we could leave. I don't know if maybe their was a social barrier there or something but as two women that us extremely uncomfortable and made us feel nervous for any women who might go into this nom nom alone. I hope that maybe a higher up can just address this so he doesn't make other customers uncomfortable this way. It felt like he was not picking up on the cues that he was making us uncomfortable with his inappropriate jokes.

Up until a week ago the restroom was public during the day and you needed to ask for access at night (totally understandable). Today I was told they don't have a bathroom for the public. It's for employees only. I'm clearly 9 months pregnant. I walked toward the normally single use indoor bathroom and they didn't say anything until I came back to the desk to ask if I could use it. Before I could even ask they said, no, it's for employees only.
