My kids grew up here. We will always return even tho it looks so different now after the fires. It's still a peaceful place and the Santiam is our favorite river

Honestly one of the BEST places I've ever camped. Inexpensive, sites are so clean, amazing, gracious hosts, clean bathrooms and RIGHT ON THE RIVER! New tradition for our family. We will be back.

Cool place, more trails than I thought. Looks like a nice place to camp when it's open. Looking forward to fly fishing there when I get back into fishing. Enjoy your time there it's really cool.

This area has a first come, first served policy. No reservations are allowed.
You can legally sleep in your car anywhere besides federal land in the state of Oregon. I have worked for the forestry department and can tell you from experience.
The park is open but most of the trees and plants are gone as a result of the fire. Day use is permitted for access to the river but no overnight camping is allowed.
Yes. You have to walk all your stuff in. You can only Park your vehicle so close and have to walk the rest of the way to load and unload. This place is worth it.
