I started with their soup of the day, potato and hatch chile. It was very good and mildly hot. I had their chiles en nogada. I also enjoyed those. I order them wherever they're on the menu and am often surprised at what I get. These are the best I've had in the US. They have traditional and more novel dishes. I went back the following day and tried their enmoladas w/Poblano mole (four moles available). Mole Poblano is made from scratch. It was very good. Rice and beans were also above average. What I have sampled calls me to go back and try some of their specialties. Went back with a group. Everyone liked the food. We arrived late for luch and early for dinner and the server change had kinks. They were out of shrimp and it took a while (half way through our appetizers) for the waiter to come out and tell us. Same waiter didn't check on me even once on my last visit. Service could use improvement. If the food weren't as good, I wouldn't return. Service is consistently lacking. Timeliness in bringing the courses out make or break a dining experience. Went for lunch this time. Server was pleasant and efficient this time. I had the caldo Tlalpeño and enjoyed it.

The flavors were amazing. I had the Chile's Nogada. The sauce was light and flavorful. The pomegranate seeds were a wonderful surprise in each bite. We shared 4 different t dishes and loved them all. What a delightful evening. Prices were very reasonable. Double surprise. Thanks. We will back

We enjoyed a wonderful evening tonight. Our guacamole, black bean and tostada appetizer was a perfect beginning to a lovely meal. The Pecan Salmon was delicious! My husband enjoyed his tampiqueña steak as well. We have been frequenting this locally owned restaurant for years and have always had a wonderful experience. The staff has always been friendly, accommodating and professional. The food and service are second to none! Easy to rate Paisano Cafe with five stars!

Service a bit slow but food better than average. Wraps are good, pasta too. My favorite so far is portobello mushroom burger. Outstanding. Also, they should bottle and sell chili salsa they serve w/ tortilla chips
