Aspen Campground

Beautiful campground with river access, close to some nearby hiking, but no atv trails nearby. The campground has multiple restrooms so you don't have to hike across camp and wait in line. No running water, no host, no firewood for sale. Popular with families and lots of young kids.

Being a 72 year old, low lander, the altitude was a minor problem, but the scenery and surroundings made up for it. The only problem I had was that there are only two outhouses about a quarter mile apart. The fishing is good, (but catching would be better.)

Aspen is a great campground with well spaced sites and convenient vault toilets. There are areas to fish and a beautiful shallow river that passes through the grounds. There are no RV hookups and no drinking water. As of June 2021, pets are allowed.

Nice campground with a good road base/gravel road. Fire pits and Tables are a walk away from most sites. Excellent shade for most of the day. There is a fence between the campground and the river. They do have a few gates you can use to access the river.
