Super pretty, nice hosts. Donβt use the dump station. It is expensive and not taken care of

Beautiful place that's not too crowded. Because of native bears and other wildlife, you cannot leave any food or scented stuff lying around or in your tent. I didn't see any bears, but there were deer, cows, squirrels, and field mice. It did rain every afternoon that we were there, but still a fun place to camp, fish, paddle board, kayak, and picnic. Accessed by about 20 miles of dirt road with a 20 mph speed limit, so it takes a while to drive in. If the wildlife, rain, or roads deter you, good. π I don't really want the place to become overcrowded!

During quarantine we were looking to get out of town and go camping. We stayed in loop C for 2 nights. The weather was good and we had a great time. Loops A, B and C are pretty far from the water, so plan on a long walk in water gear or driving. If you want to camp near the water, try to get a spot in loop D. The campground was clean and we'll maintained. The entry point sells ice and firewood. Sites are spaced out well. There are lots of hikes and mountain roads to explore. The only negative were the long, winding, washboardy, dusty dirt roads. Most of the kids got car sick π·. But hey, it's all part of the adventure, right?

We got 5 or 6 sites close together and had a family reunion here. Camp sites are pretty standard with firepit and a table with benches. Water spigots are spaced out every few campsites, so you don't have to go far for water. It's a ways from the upper sites down the the reservoir, so we drove down every time we wwnt to the lake. Grandpa was on an electric scooter and was able to get around through the campsites and to the bathrooms.

I don't have a map, but there are only one or two sites in the inside of the loop. Like maybe site 3 or 4. All the rest are on the outside so if the numbers are together they are. There are several on the uphill side that are very close together some with gravel pads.
I would say no on that, most of the areas around the reservoir wouldn't be suitable to even put a tent on. If you want to be close to the water camp in loop D and it's a really short walk.
There is no designated walk up sites. You will probably find open sites mid week, but often the weekends are completely booked.
Yes. Stayed there last weekend.
