We got a couple of tuna bowls, the Hawaiian and the seared tuna bowl. We also got a couple of miso soups, salmon nigiri, and creamy scallops. The lighting in the restaurant was almost a yellow color, a very warm coloring. The only thing that bothered me about a place that charges $9 for two salmon nigiris was their restroom. The wall behind the toilet is covered with a floor-to-ceiling mirror. The bathrooms are unisex, so there was splatter behind the toilet and all over the mirror. It looks like it has not been cleaned for a while. It looked like the splatter had been collecting for a while.

Just took my family there for dinner. I haven’t been there for years, it seems to have gone downhill a little bit, but the server was lovely and the sushi was great. We switched out our table before our food arrived because we wanted a full booth, but also because it smelled like urine. We weren’t sitting close to the restroom at all but my daughter used the restroom while we were there and when she came back she said it reeked of urine and was in desperate need of a cleaning. The toilet seat had urine & hairs on it, the floor had popcorn on it and was sticky. I respect that it’s a gender neutral bathroom, but they really, truly, need to scour it down and keep more on top of it.

Other than the front of house being very dismissive and oblivious to what was going on we enjoyed our time and meal here. Once seated we were gracious greeted by a wonderful server. Food was fast and very fresh and delicious. Will be back.

You don't get parking directly in front, but plenty all around. We come to Bridgeport Village often but first time visit here. There was no wait, but they did ask if we had a reservation. So I am guessing it could get busy from time to time. Menu was okay, but no pictures. So if you are not familiar with Japanese cuisine, you might need some help. We knew what we wanted, so no problem there. Sushi and rolls came out at a good rate. Not super fast, but pretty good for made to order items. For the most part, food tasted okay, but pretty pricy in my opinion. Didn't order drinks and was 120$ for 2 adults and 2 kids. Now, we ordered mostly sushi stuff, so you have to put that into consideration. I say pricy due to price to quality. But it's not horrible considering the type of food. Very friendly staff, they do tend to you often and quickly. If you haven't been, check it out. If you crave for sushi when in the area, check it out. For me, I wouldn't drive out there just for their food.

No
No. Some of the chefs might if they're Japanese. Majority of the staff are white English speaking Portlanders. If you want a more authentic Japanese experience make a reservation at Murata in downtown Portland, they speak Japanese, the chef barely knows English and gets his fish from a special supplier. Sinju in the Pearl is also more Japanese styled. Bridgeport is more modern hip. 🍣🐟🍱
