Toyota Terrace VIP are some of the nicest seats to watch the Padres. The view from behind home plate is incredible, the seats are comfortable, in-seat service is luxurious. The smaller rows mean fewer people, less chance of bonking elbows with drunken rogues, overall more intimacy. If you want to sit right above the dugout, that’s the Toyota Terrace Infield. These seats are really just as good as VIP and offer the perk of a free baseball (if you are lucky enough to catch a foul ball. Toyota Terrace Reserved is perched over the 1st and 3rd base, offering a pretty incredible perspective of all.

Even though the Padres are out of town and there's no baseball game the Padres do stadium tours. You just need to call ahead and book the reservations. Also you can always visit the Park at the Park which is behind center field. There is a video screen and the Padres usually play all away games on that video screen. The Park is open like any city park when the Padres aren't playing. So you can get a good look at the Park from the Park. There's also a Wiffle ball diamond for kids and other things that you find at all parks. There's also the Tony Gwynn statue at the Park at the Park. I highly recommend it if your in town from out of town. It's a short walk from the Gaslamp district downtown.

You have to bring it in empty and fill it at a water fountain inside the park. They will make sure it's empty when you go through security.

City of San Diego has a noise ordinance the hours of 10pm and 7am

If you are near the trolley park there a ride the trolley in it comes from a lot of places, and a $5 all day ticket is way better than some of the parking around the ballpark, and you don't have to worry about the traffic leaving the game, just get back on the trolley

I was there in Wednesday and saw both strollers and backpacks, however I'm not sure what the restrictions are for what you put in the backpack. Security was havi g people dump their water prior to entering. Backpacks have to be smaller than 16x16x8. Google petco park prohibited items and it will come up.

I've set there before they're okay. I have my regular seats in section 131 and that's a great place more foul balls than any other place at Petco. You can order food from the premier seats but it's not free and who wants to watch the game from a restaurant? Not me.
